Only had a chance to enjoy the breakfast. Very nice offerings and delightful staff. They even boxed up a breakfast for us before our early Kayak tour.

Restaurant with great food and wonderful ambience. Extensive wine list at reasonable prices. Be sure to walk through the Inn and visit the porch overlooking the water. A little hard to find so watch for the signs

My wife and I had an outstanding meal. Our table was at the window, looking out to the water. Staff was friendly and attentive, just right. Wanted to check out the newly opened place right on the water for lunch, but didn't make it there. We would add this to Red Sky as a "nice night out" dining experience when... More

The Claremont is one of the few very old hotels around. The dining room in the hotel is very nice. It does have a dress code, but only requires men to have long pants and a shirt with a collar; so that is very reasonable for a nice dinner. Very nice location in a quiet part of Soutwest Harbor. Menu... More

President Obama came to the island with his wife, daughters and mother-in-law and had lunch here. We usually eat outdoors down by the water, but that venue was closed for the season and we had an excellent dinner with friends on her birthday. The waitress was very professional, the wine list excellent and the food superb. It is a rather... More

Need reservation and jacket (First night can't eat there because we didn't reserve). The room has big windows on 3 sides, and the harbor view is beautiful. The service and food are very good (Our veal and halibut cooked perfect), but does not have too much choice (Maybe because they change menu daily, but I see two days having the... More

The price range is extremely deceiving. In your review of The Claremont you list the range as $9 to $16 dollars and the cuisine was american. My party really was looking for something light and being late in the season knew our choices would be limited unless we drove into Bar Harbor.I called The Claremont and they suggested reservations which... A nice elegant place. We had our romantic dinner of a getaway weekend here. A dressy place, glad i brought the jacket. I know nothing about the hotel, or the bar either. We were simply there for a nice quiet romantic dinner. And that is what we had. The view is probably the best of any restaurant in SW Harbor.... More

My filet was over cooked and tasted strange...sort of like liver. The lobster rosotto was better but nothing special.

Our final night in Acadia Natl Park was highlighted by walking the grounds and a wonderful dinner at the Claremont. Views of the harbor, presentation and quality of our dinners were excellent!
