After a harrowing drive because of construction we finally arrived at Red Sky. The overall ambience was very American Bistro -ish. The food was just so ordinary. For the money we paid we expected, and should have gotten better prepared dishes.

On our first night in Southwest Harbor, my wife and I ate at the Red Sky. The service was excellent, and the food was wonderful. I had duck breast, and my wife had roasted scallops. I tasted the scallops, and they were delicious. The duck was beyond my expectations. I was the best I have ever had the pleasure of... More

So excited for our dinner at Red Sky on my birthday. Things began well, great corner table and gracious staff. The appetizer was served and the red cabbage slaw on the lamb taco was poorly seasoned and lacking the tang an effective dressing. We had not finished the appetizers when the second course <salad> was served. Apart from feeling a... More

So glad we made the trip from Bar Harbor for dinner at Red Sky. Creative preparations, fresh local ingredients, and great service. Favorite dishes/drinks include: Red Sky's homemade ginger-lime soda, lobster and mushroom risotto, the scallops, and gingerbread for dessert. Do note that eating at Red Sky will not be a quiet dinner - the restaurant is small and packed... More

The two of us shared the Blue Hill Bay mussels appetizer which was amazingly good. Wine list was good and reasonably priced. The house made bread was also excellent, but things went downhill after that. Still good but not worth the prices.

Excellent menu, well prepared and presented dishes. The staff was very accommodating. Reservations are needed on the weekend at prime dinner time.

Hard to get a table.... need to make reservations in advance in high season. We have been three times already and we will be back. Their suggestions about wine is great, their dishes are unique and well presented and their service is very good. I definitely recommend it.

This trip to Maine we dined out for many of our evening meals. First of all we like Red Sky and came back this time because we liked it on another trip. This time we did notice that the prices were about 10 - 15 % higher than the main courses at the Cleremont, also in Southwest. My meal was... More

We ate here on our recent trip to Acadia National Park and this was one of the three restaurants we tried in Southwest Harbor. We arrived quite late, so we avoided the normal queue at 7 o' clock. The staff were friendly but the service was a bit slow so we had to wait just a tad too long for... More

Had to wait a while for our reserved table, but the room is very pretty and we were happy to finally be seated. The staff is friendly and good. Some parts of the meal were very good but others like the roasted potatoes that came with my meal seemed like they had been sitting there all day. Maybe because we... More
