After traveling in some terrible winter weather on the 13th of Feb. we got into town safely and checked into the Seawall Motel and went back to town and had the dinner we deserved after a hard day. The food was great and the service was absolutely wonderful. We originally had wanted to have dinner here on Valentines Day but... More

This elegant restaurant uses local and organic produce which was the main appeal for us. The quality of food was excellent. I had lobster cocktail and grilled scallops and they were delicious. Their fresh baked breads and desserts were top quality.

I know you can't eat the décor, but the deep, rich colors added to the experience. The menu is creative - no, inventive; great choices, great presentation. A lovely evening.

I have to admit, this isn't really from this last September, it was probably at least two years ago, BUT the place is fabulous! Really fine dining, excellent menu, delicious food. Easy going (but not lax) staff. Great wine list. Best to make a reservation. But don't sweat your attire - typically dressy to very casual (it is Maine).

We stayed a week in Bass Harbor and had dinner at Red Sky only once - big mistake. About half way through our dinner, we wished that we had visited Red Sky earlier in our stay. Service was impeccable, food was delicious, and everything about the restaurant was elegant but also comfortable. Diners were dressed in everything from country club... More

According to a few reviews, reservations were recommended at Red Sky. Since it was off season, we thought we'd try our luck because we were in the neighborhood. When I mentioned that we weren't properly dressed (in our hiking clothes), the waitress kindly commented, "Well, you have clothes on, don't you? ", and we were promptly seated. What followed were... Excellent food. Awesome service. Do not miss this opportunity for a great dining experience. A first...... We tried the app special, sweet breads. Very nice. Thanks for a memorizable anniversary dinner. .

Really, this review might be more like a 4.5 star review. Had a very nice time with my wife and some friends at Red Sky after a sunset sail out of Southwest Harbor. This is a fine dining restaurant with a nice atmosphere. Good, reasonably priced wine list. Loved the Mussels as an appetizer. Asked for and received extra bread... More

This is one of the best restaurants in Southwest Harbor. David Rockefeller comes all the way from Seal Harbor to eat here. Last time there we had to wait on our reservation (you better have one to get in) because Mr. Rockefeller was lingering at our table.
