Excellent menu, well prepared and presented dishes. The staff was very accommodating. Reservations are needed on the weekend at prime dinner time.

Hard to get a table.... need to make reservations in advance in high season. We have been three times already and we will be back. Their suggestions about wine is great, their dishes are unique and well presented and their service is very good. I definitely recommend it.

This trip to Maine we dined out for many of our evening meals. First of all we like Red Sky and came back this time because we liked it on another trip. This time we did notice that the prices were about 10 - 15 % higher than the main courses at the Cleremont, also in Southwest. My meal was... More

We ate here on our recent trip to Acadia National Park and this was one of the three restaurants we tried in Southwest Harbor. We arrived quite late, so we avoided the normal queue at 7 o' clock. The staff were friendly but the service was a bit slow so we had to wait just a tad too long for... More

Had to wait a while for our reserved table, but the room is very pretty and we were happy to finally be seated. The staff is friendly and good. Some parts of the meal were very good but others like the roasted potatoes that came with my meal seemed like they had been sitting there all day. Maybe because we... More

The Food Gods must have smiled. To make up for a dreadful lunch experience at The Cellar (in reference to the service, not the location, which was on the ground floor) in Ellsworth (q.v.), my dinner at the Red Sky was a terrific experience. A solo diner is sometimes a problem for a busy restaurant, but the friendly hostess at... More

Three of us had an early dinner on a Thursday. Two of us had the maple glazed baby ribs. Very good and tender but not fall-off-the-bone style. Accompanied with French style green beans and an interesting and tasty potato that was thinly sliced and square in shape. The other meal was crab cakes. All meals were somewhat spicy. Great ,... We were very excited to try this restaurant but ended up thinking it was just ok. The restaurant was busy as apparently they usually are in august. We enjoyed both the appetizers smoked salmon ( usual smoked salmon plate with cream cheese and crackers) and especially the lamb tacos ( highly recommend these) The disappointment was with the entrees....... Crab... More

No ifs, ands, or buts about it. We couldn't have been more impressed. Try the lobster risotto, you'll thank me--promise.

My wife and I are celebrating our 30 wedding anniversary and, based upon TripAdvisor restaurant reviews, decided to have dinner at Red Sky. We were not disappointed. We had reservations and were seated immediately. The waitress, upon learning that it was our anniversary, brought a complimentary glass of champagne to the table. We ordered mussels as an appetizer. The mussels... More
