Great small town choice

We wre tired of lobster and tried their chicken pesto and haddock dinners. Both were very tastey. The service was good and the prices readonable. We didnt feel like there were alot of choices in thos town but do not regret making this one.

Nice staff but I have no opinion about this place. It was just not impressive in any way....nor was it bad in any way. Mediocre.

This looked like a trendy little place. Unfortunately, the steak we ordered was overcooked and dry. For the price, not worth the meal.

My wife and I stayed in Southwest Harbor recently for week while visiting Acadia and the surrounding area. The Drydock is the only restaurant we visited more than once. We would have visited a total of 3 times but road construction made it difficult to find a place to park on our last attempt. The menu is diverse enough but... More

Thank you for your great review. The road has finally been completed and we look forward to a busy 30th season here. Every year we adjust our menu with our staff. Our gardens are planted and soon fresh items will be going into the restaurant from them. Thanks again for your review. More

Onboard our boat at a marina in Southwest Harbor for a month. Walked to Cafe Dry Dock. It was their opening night of the season. Place was 1/3 full when we arrived and we sat immediately. Very pleasant waitress served us. Food was excellent. Wife had the crispy Chilean Haddock. Very good. I had the fish of the day special... More

Thank you for joining us on the first night of our 30th season here. We had a good turn out and it feels good to be back in business. It was a long winter here and we had more snow then I can remember in a long time. As year round residents we take pride in what we do and... More

The Cafe Dry Dock & Inn in Southwest Harbor Maine is a real gem. If you are looking for a quaint, clean room to come and go as you please without the hotel kind of feel you will find it here. The rooms are equipped with sink, frig, coffee, etc along with the usual you will find in a hotel... More

The restaurant is OK and service was fine although a bit slow. If you drive to Bass Harbour you can probably do better. Ordered soup, crab stuffed portabello (not a lot of crab meat), salad and a glass of wine. Ticket was $32

Thank you for your review and spending time with us. Fresh local crabmeat has become very expensive the last few years. There is a shortage of crabs which is driving up prices. There is a lot of imported crab on the market, but our policy is to buy local. This imported crab does not have the flavor or quality, but... More

This place is about 10 miles from Bar harbor but a world away from the hustle and bustle that can occur in Bar Harbor. The dining rooms are comfortable and service is always good. The menu varies a bit but always has scallops on it; they are baked with a little breading and not overcooked. One of the daily special... More

Thank you for your great review. We always have scallops and also they are local scallops caught right of the Western side of this island. Much of our seafood comes directly from island fishermen and we support them and their families. Our restaurant has a large selection of local seafood dishes. Our gardens give us many local products also and... More

After touring the coast and seeking out fresh seafood, we stopped at this eclectic inn and restaurant. The wait was minimum, but the food was delicious! The scallops were divine as well as the atmosphere. Our waitress was topnotch and friendly despite a busy lunch crowd. The restaurant is small, but oh my goodness the tiny restroom should be enlarged.... More

Scallops we have. We buy only locally caught scallops from one fisherman on the island. This way, together, we can control the quality. His boat is located in Bass Harbor and goes out daily bring us the best we can buy. Other seafood is done in the same manner including, lobsters (Andy Mays), Scallops (Lucas Lemoine), mussels and oysters (Evan... More

Large well equipped room. Very clean. Even had a small kitchen area (beware the toaster starts off the fire alarm). It was just as well that the room had a small kitchen because we couldn't find a cafe in South West Harbour that opened for breakfast before 10.00, so we had to buy sufficient food for breakfast at the local... Thank you for your review. With all the breakfast places around, and my problem getting out of bed at 5 am, we have decided not to get into the breakfast scene. We can get noisy in the restaurant and that's why our two separate dinning rooms work. The inn has been re -done many times since 1923 serving as a... More
