Excellent Lobster roll. Service was good. A little bit of a wait as they were very busy that night. A little on the pricey side but not out of line with other offerings in the area. Definitely worth the stop.

After an afternoon on SailArcadia boat cruise, we were looking for a restaurant with a good selection, tasty food and good service. Got lucky and found Cafe Dry Dock. The Haddock Sandwich and Lobster Roll hit the spot, but the honors go to the Bacon Wrapped Scallops appetizer which was perfect. We would not hesitate going back or recommending this... More

Thank you for your review. Haddock, lobster, and scallops are some of the great seafood we have here and are also our most popular. Tonight I'm smoking a roast for our roast beef sandwiches which are also a favorite here. I will smoke it for about 3 hours for rare and then cook to order for the French Dip Sandwich.... More

Ate here twice in late July. First time: delicious food; excellent service even though it was really busy. Decided to one back a week later around 2:00. Only 4 people in the place yet it took lost 10 minutes to be seated. At this point there were 2 other couples waiting. Got a nice table outside and there we sat.... More

Thank you for your review. This review is very disturbing to us as this is exactly what we have tried to prevent from happening. We have a policy on cell phone use and also employee conduct. I'm ultimately responsible for our staff, and this employee makes everyone here look bad. This is exactly the type of person that we do... More

My husband and I enjoyed a nice lobster dinner at Cafe Dry Dock. Nadine did a great job! We are visiting from the Gulf Coast, so we are accustomed to spicy Cajun seasoning. Our lobster was excellent, although bland for our taste, and highly recommended.

Thank you for your review and I'm gland you tried our lobster. Our tastes are a little different in seafood spices. I do enjoy Cajun meals. I grow my own okra, but it is not as good as the southern grown types for my gumbo. The Acadians from the expulsion in Nova Scotia settled in Northern Maine and Louisiana where... More

We made our second stop at the Café for lunch - I'm sure we will return again! Nice character to the building, great location downtown and food did not disappoint! Nice variety to choose from, great waitstaff and no room for dessert - maybe next time!

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. We have been at this location for 30 years and serve many local items either caught or grown on this island. Our community is small and out of the main influx of visitors to this island. This side of the island is called the quietside for that reason. Thanks again. More

We came to Southwest Harbor because a local resident recommended it as a beautiful town on Mount Desert Island that was less crowded than nearby Bar Harbor. Nice choice! We had a wonderful day exploring the area. When we felt hungry, we picked this charming restaurant for a mid-afternoon meal. It was nicely decorated with interesting photos and collectibles. The... Thank you for your great review. All the photo's were given to us by local families and date as far back to the 1870's. Mussels, like most of our seafood are raised just off the island's shores and go from the water to our patrons plates the same day, ensuring the best seafood around. Haddock is the #1 selling fish... Before heading back home, we dropped by the Dock for a quick dinner. I was anticipating a basic seafood dish, but at the prodding of my wife, went with one of the Specials: the Haddock Quesadilla. To sum it up, it was magnificent; a marvelously prepared haddock covered by multiple melted cheeses in a toasted tortilla. And to top it... More

Thank you for your review on an item that we just put on the menu this week. One of our staff was looking for ways to add some new items this week and came up with this dish. When I first saw the review I had to ask my wife about the haddock quesadilla as I was not aware of... More

I go to the drydock whenever i am thirsty, hungry for a decent meal at relatively decent prices or I want to spend time with the locals.

Thank you for your great review. We are the place where the locals go, when they go out for drinks and dinner. On any given night there are fishermen, lawyers, chefs from area restaurants, and tourists at our bar and enjoying our meals. Our menu includes many items from the waters around this island and out of our gardens. Thanks... More

Enjoyed lunch here with my wife, her sister and b-i-l. Two lobster rolls, very generous amounts, a French dip, tasty and a blackened chicken, pretty good. Service was pretty quick and the food was good, if little pricy. Average for south west harbor.

Thank you for your review. We sell a lot of lobster rolls and for the amount of meat in them, we keep them competitively priced. The French dip is smoked by us here weekly and is the second largest selling sandwich for lunch. We use quality meat purchased locally and then smoke it for hours outside on our smoker. This... More

Came in for a late lunch while driving down to Seawall. Should have read the other reviews. While our server was polite and friendly, we were really bummed with the food. The warm and wilted salad started things off - even the vinaigrette was bad. The crab quiche was best described as mushy crabmeat in a loaf of grease. My... More
