Our first night in Southwest Harbor, we walked to Fiddlers Green and had a lovely dinner. Good service, nice atmosphere, and wonderful food. The food was beautifully presented. Better than the usual vegetarian choices. The house-smoked fish was the best!

Fiddler's Green was the worst part of my 1 week trip to Acadia. There was first a very long wait since there was no one greeting or seating guests, so there was a large group of incoming people accumulating in the doorway. When someone did come back to the front, she first seated a group of 4 and then proceeded... More

We came in on a Saturday evening and had no wait, which we were happy about. All our entrees but for one were terrific. Just order your hamburger one and a half levels less cooked than you rapt want it. My son wanted medium week and received a puck.

Great service, delicious food, friendly staff. The roast pig was great. Same for the two smoking fish.

The staff was kind enough to seat us despite our arrival after closing time. We ordered promptly and were served a little too promptly - my fish was undercooked, and I don't like sushi. But... the waitress handled the mistake perfectly. A few minutes later, the fish was brought back to me cooked perfectly. Otherwise, everything about the restaurant met... More

We went with the featured selections from the smoked duck appetizer, the old vine Australian red,and the stuffed sole with chilled fresh local vegetables. Topped it off with a shared slice of Maine blueberry pie. Could not have been better!

Fiddlers Green is conveniently located in downtown Southwest Harbor, but enough out of the exact center of town to have it's own parking lot- that was a plus. The restaurant is in a tastefully decorated former home, and there is very pretty garden out back that many tables have a view to. The service was attentive. The food was tasty.... More

Heard it was pricey but it was worth every cent(less than many Boston restaurants). Lobster pasta, eaten on their spacious dining porch, was so delicious. Our delightful, patient and attentive local waitress, Darcy, urged sopping up the Vinho Verde sauce with bread. Ate every morsel. My husband enjoyed the tuna sashimi and lobster enchilada. Went on a Thurs without reservation.... More

Have been here three times in the past eight years, and I am never disappointed. The menu is varied with some unusual but excellent choices. Went here recently with a couple from Central Europe, and the Two Smoking Fish (salmon and mackeral) and Heidi's cake were a big hit. The entrees, wine list and other drinks, including beer and mead,... More

This is a casual place with some very good food. Families with children are welcomed. We dined in the screened terrace which was most pleasant. We had an enjoyable Caesar salad and an over-salty salt cod croquette to start, followed by a good duck breast and a house specialty - shredded long-cooked pig. There is a good selection of well-priced... More
