Weathervane restaurants have been a seafood standby for years. They offer standard seafood fare. Whether it is baked, broiled or fried, you pretty much know what you’re going to get. The food is consistently well prepared. The affordable pricing is made even more so with ‘Seafarer’ items which offer smaller portions at lower prices. We ordered fish and chips and... More

This restaurant is a step DOWN from a 'Red Lobster" restaurant but similar. The menu has a good variety of seafood and steaks, etc. and the pricing was family friendly. The servers could be a bit more friendly and not act like you are taking their time and slow down a bit. They were very slow in returning after serving... More

Not my favorite but my dinner partner emembered it as a good place to go. I was a little disappointed in the overall quality of my haddock dinner.

I arrived and was one of three parties dining. The $5.00 cocktail was nearly all syrup. The rolls were from a package and not even warmed. No offer to refill my water until I was finished eating. My main course, Lobster Pie, was hot and okay. By the time it had arrived, the waitresses were chatting and not caring about... More

A nice moderately priced seafood restaurant with an excellent variety on the menu. The prices were family friendly and the service and food very good. The blueberry cobbler was the perfect end to a good meal. The lobster roll was excellent. You don't have to go downtown for some good food.

My family and I attempted to eat a nice dinner at this establishment. We arrived around 8 at night, there were maybe 6 people in the restaurant. That should have been a warning sign, but we ignored it. Bad mistake! My Dad and I ordered Lobster, he also ordered "Steamers" aka clams. The steamers stunk so bad, he could not... More

Ate alone on a Monday supper hour in September......Seated quickly, server promptly to the table for beverage and appetizer order. Locally brewed seasonal ale was cold and delicious - fried zucchini sticks were different (for me) and delicious. Bowl of clam chowder was hot/warm, hearty, and creamy. Weathervane tradition of too many french fries on the plate is still present,... More

This place is not as great as everyone leads you to believe. At 4pm the place was empty. However, since we needed a high chair, we were sat in a room in the back. The appetizer combo we ordered was so so. The buffalo chicken tenders left a lot to be desired. The breading seemed to be falling off the... More

I quite enjoyed the meal here. The service with Dylan was excellent (some in our party can be difficult) and we were impressed with the amount of seafood we received over the amount of fillers (fries). The decor was typical, but not offensive. The prices were a little steep, but we were all very full after the meal and could... More
