My Mom and I went to Minami for lunch today. We took advantage of their lunch special of $8.95. It was probably one of the best buffets I have been to in a long time. Everything was freshly prepared and there were so many choices. I was too full to try the Hibachi Grill but it smelled awesome. The only... More

This place has improved a lot on selection of foods and how they manage it since the last time I came here. However, the server I had could use some improvement on etiquette. The only thing the server had to do was place our orders for our drinks and it appears he didn't have the patience or enthusiasm to review... More

Very elegant and relaxing dining room. Many choices on the buffet tables, including some Chinese items and grill to order. I am not versed in sushi, so can't speak to the authenticity, but all of the dishes were attractively presented, and everything I tried was excellent. More money the most buffets, but I thought it well worth it.

Expect to find a beautiful space that feels like a $$$ restaurant, with only pretty good food, but at $$ prices. Lots of sushi choices, and other choices like dumplings, as well as some excellent salads. It feels like a nice restaurant with a buffet, rather than a steam table buffet in a low grade space

I've eaten here three or four times over the past few months. As others have pointed out, it's not 100% Japanese food; there are cooked Chinese and pan-Asian dishes available in the buffet. The sushi is not as authentic as I would like it--they drizzle sauces, wrap in vegetables and other ingredients not traditionally used in makizushi or nigirizushi--but, it's... More

It is not 100% Japanese food, some Chinese and other food. However, it is a nice buffet with a lot of seafood, meat, and sushi.

A buffet must show abundance and kept warm. Neither is evident. A better explanation of the offerings of food by the waitresses is important.

We were a group, 8, so Macaroni Grill told us an hour and a half wait. Not an option, so we drove to Minami Japanese Grill & Supreme Buffet. The worst meal we ate the entire time we were in Maine. Slow but polite service. Pretty food but poor quality and no flavor. After I ordered the Teriyaki Dinner with... More

After reading the reviews, my husband and I were quite confident that we would have a good experience...We were not desapointed. The sushi is fresh. The tempura is crispy and the beef terriaki is cook to perfection. This is an abundant buffet with many different dishes, one would have to go often in order to taste everything. Too bad we... More

A group of us went to Minami last week. I found the food tasty and the selection satisfying. It doesn't have the bounty of choices as other Asian buffets, but don't let this fool you ~ they offer a broad enough selection to meet most appetites. Sushi is one of their strong suits - they have ready made and made-to-order.... More
