Somewhat disappointing

Fair. Our waitress was capable, but not at all friendly. We had a nice table outside. When we arrived the interior was packed with people for an extremely lively happy hour. Fortunately, they weren't there during our entire meal. I ordered the lobster tempura as an appetizer. It was served... read more

We visited this restaraunt for our evening meal after driving past earlier in the day. The setting is spectacular, we sat outside overlooking the cove. Unfortnately the view was as good as it got! Service was very slow and inatentive, we had to repeat our order details a couple of times because our waiter was too busy chatting to friends... More

The back deck of Coveside is one of the Maine Coast's most beautiful spots. The large harbor is full of boats. The docks at Coveside are usually bustling with visiting ships and boats. The bar shows it's age well, covered with flags and pennants from visiting ships. The food can vary from year to year, but the experience never disappoints.

Good view we've had good service but some people say different. I guess its the luck of the draw. Try it for yourself I think its worth a try.

We visit Coveside yearly while staying with our dear friends in South Bristol. We have been to Coveside by car and by boat which is fun to do. The last time we were there we hung a burgee (nautical term for flag) on the ceiling from our boat club in Nyack, NY. The food was superb as well as the... More

We visited this little restaurant for lunch. We had a reservation for 9 people. When we arrived we were told that they had the call requesting a reservation (made by a local B&B) but they did not take reservations. But, it turned out that there was a power failure (due to someone hitting a phone pole and knocking out power)... More

Both host and hostess behaved like they were at a funeral. No smiles,no pleasantries. This is our second trip. The waitstaff we have encountered has been lax at best.I have been happy with my meal both times. My husband's salmon was the worst he has ever had.The view is incredible! I suppose they are getting tired of the tourists, which we are not.

sad to say our experience was definitely not warm and fuzzy. don't bother going there if you aren't part of the "in crowd". can't say service was bad; there just wasn't any! we brought our drinks out to the deck to enjoy a bit of sun. no one asked if we wanted to see a menu, even tho we did... Based of many of the reviews we were Based on many of the reviews we were lucky to have had such a good meal and service; however, thinking back on the experience we were only served by the ladies. No reservation at 11:45; we were offered a nice table on the deck, two glasses of OK wine quickly followed and... More

It's on the water. A live band played on the outdoor deck. Cold beer and good food was served. Service was friendly. I enjoyed a fantastic day with friends here and would definitely return again.
