Worth looking for

It was a long drive from our home base in Wells. Be sure that your GPS is in good working order, because it's far off the beaten path. The dining room is large and plain. I got the impression that it's mainly used for occasions like wedding receptions rather than individual dinners. But the food... read more

We arrived for 6pm reservations. We were surprised when we arrived to find only 3 other tables with people at them. Let's just say we were pleased for our sake that it would be a quiet night and we would actually be able to talk and enjoy each other's company. Our waitress was prompt coming to ask for our drink... Happened upon this by a fluke and had a very nice meal in a beautiful setting. We arrived on a Saturday evening and were told there were no available tables. Take home message: reservations are a must! We took a walk around the beautiful grounds before we left and the hostess chased us out in the parking lot saying they... More

I had never been to Spring Hill but had heard it was very good. We dined w/my brother & sister-in-law. We shared 2 appetizers- crab cakes which I was told were one of the best they ever had. I shared stuffed mushrooms which plentiful & delicious. My & my brother's entrees were the Filet & Shrimp. The shrimp were excellent.... More

We visit about every six months for a great meal. We visited on a Friday night and were promptly seated and were given time to look at and order drinks and appetizers. All food came out quickly and was delicious. I had blackened chicken alfredo, my wife a seafood dish. Service was great. We always leave saying we need to... More

I don't get the bad reviews. I have been to this restaurant at least a dozen times in the last two years. Sometimes my husband and I go alone, but mostly with family. Yes, I do most of the time use a coupon, but that just makes it even better for us. In this economy it is tough to dine... More

We had dinner here on Dec. 31st 2013 and again December 31st 2014. Not impressed this time around. Notified of 2 food allergies like the last time. When we got there we were told I would need to just pick what I could eat from the buffet. I had roast, and veggies only. All the rest had dairy and or... More

We split shrimp cocktail and crab cakes for appetizers and had bread- all were very good. We had the Filet Mignon, Baked Haddock with Scallops and Macadamia Chicken. Everyone was happy with... More

Food is good, service is o.k., friendliness is in question, and very expensive. They offer all types of coupons but what I don't like is they suggest on a post it note how much you should tip. I think that is rude and because of that, I pay less.

Oh yes, it's definitely out of the way. Hidden on a secondary road that winds through trees and farmland, Spring Hill is well worth the time/effort to travel there. The facility is divided in half: one side dedicated to functions; i.e., weddings, private parties, etc., and the other comprises of the restaurant itself. Sitting at the top of a hill,... More
