A restaurant that is also a CSA and helps local farmers. Very cool setting. Friendly staff. Incredibly tasty breakfast.. I had the Corned Beef and vegies. Could use a sign on the road.

Delightful eatery in a town devoid of many choices. Everything was fresh and delicious. We sat outside and enjoyed our drinks then decided to stay for dinner. Glad we did. We had the dumplings, soup of the day, hamburger and fish tacos. Everything was exceptional. We especially loved the carrot cake with cardamom and lemon glass. Nice selection of local... More

Great food; great service. So glad we passed through! Fresh ingredients. Fit for foodies! Took awhile to get our entrees but it was withy the wait for sure. Six of us all loved everything we ordered.

We went here for the first time with some friends and was very impressed with the menu. The burgers are great with fresh local beef. They also have local and state beers and wine. It isn't huge but the food is great.

We come here often for breakfast and for dinner. The service is always very friendly and personable, and the food is really good. It's wonderful to have this place in Skowhegan, where upscale food is to hard to come. We love the corned beef hash, biscuits and gravy and the eggs benedict I had this morning (in the picture) were... More

Our starters were good, great Empenatas, the pork for a main course was served cold. The side of rice was not cooked , crunch,it is not that hard to cook rice. Unless hard rice was part of the dish?

Great addition to the Skowhegan food scene. They use locally-sourced food whenever possible, from farmers you know. The ambience is rustic - a former jail garage! - but the service is friendly. The food prep is very good by those who care about what you are eating.

We've only been once, but it was with a very big goup. They were very accommodating. I'm pretty sure we ended up being there well past their normal closing time. We ate outside and it was pretty dark, but they scrounged all of the lighting they could find and the food was really great. We'd go again.

The setting for this restaurant is in a converted jail. Don't let that fool you, it is really cool! This was my first time and definitely won't be my last. The food was fresh, organic and fantastic. The service was genuinely friendly and helpful, not that fakeness you get from the staff at other restaurants. The food was a little... More

This is a friendly restaurant with an upscale atmosphere that takes pride in serving expertly prepared dishes from locally sourced ingredients. If you are in town for breakfast or brunch on the weekends or are looking for a great dinner spot, the Pickup is a good choice. You will not be disappointed. They are now serving beer and wine as...
