Just wanted a late night snack so my wife had the haddock soup and I had the onion soup. We both enjoyed them. I think it's one of the best onion soups I've had - very good service too!

Neat little pub, with outdoor dining overlooking river/dam of Skowhegan, Maine. Even on a rainy, chilly, dreary day - the view was great. Very enjoyable. It started raining on us, and we moved inside no problem. Upstairs view was just as nice, and warmer! Not very kid friendly, but my boys enjoyed their kids meals. Food was ok, I don't... More

The food is average. The fried food tastes neglected. The men's restroom is segregated to the upstairs, so beware if your a mobility challenged man. The floors are disgusting. The service is inconsistent, and sometimes too distracted or moody. Many patrons seem to be over-poured, so dinning can sometimes be a little rackus. I'd steer clear.

On a road trip from Ohio though New England, we came across this place while on Rt. 2 through Maine. We stopped in for an early dinner, and would recommend it to anyone passing through. Our waitress Jaime was super attentive and pleasant. Would definitely frequent this place if we lived locally!

For one of the smallest kitchens (smaller then my home kitchen) they almost always pull it off during crowded times. We have never had a bad meal when eating there. If packed it may take time to get service, but if sitting outside on the deck, who cares while watching the river flow by under your feet. Love everything about... More

I went to Old Mill Pub several years ago on my way to Sugarloaf and had a great meal. I was in Skowhegan a few weeks ago and decided to meet a friend there for dinner. What a disappointment. I ordered fish and when it came to the table I was struck by the smell. It was not fresh and... More

The food was cooked to perfection. The waitresses were very attentive, punctual and accomidating. The decore and location is unique. The owner takes the time to check on his customers satisfaction.

This is a small converted mill house hanging - literally - on the cliff above a major river at the falls. The inside is well-done and simple wood. Located behind the downtown but easily seen as you cross the bridges, with ample parking along the river bank. The food tries and is generally good. Sometimes it is inconsistent particularly when... The Old Mill Pub really is an old mill converted to a pub. In the summer there is really great deck seating overlooking the river. The perfect place to relax for drinks and dinner; good drink and food specials. I've never had room for dessert, but I hear it's great!
