After a four hour hike in nearby Acadia National Park it was great to find this little place in Seal Harbor ME for lunch, We made quick work of our tasty crabmelt sandwich, crab cakes and seafood chowder. Give this one a try, I do not think you can go wrong.

Stopped here for a quick lunch and was deeply disappointed in the sub-par food served by a rude waiter who, even himself, went next door to get himself an iced tea because he "wouldn't dare drink the tea we serve here" (as overheard by us as he spoke to the other waitperson). The place hasn't been decorated since the 1970's... More

Seal Harbor is not a destination point in Arcadia, so you either pass through it on your way to or from Bar Harbor, as was the case with us. We wanted to hike the Jordan Pond trail and needed a little "pick me up" before we headed into the park from NE Harbor and stumbled upon this very nice restaurant.... More

My husband and I ate at the Lighthouse on Sunday evening, May 25. We had driven out of Bar Harbor and stumbled upon the Lighthouse. The restaurant was empty so we were seated immediately. Our server was very nice and helpful. I had the Chicken Oscar which was wonderful as was my husbands meal. My favorite was the lobster stew.... More

We discovered this restaurant just by chance. We were in Acadia National Park, we were looking for a quick coffee break just out of the loop road, and ended up in Seal Harbor. We only had coffee and dessert, so we can't speak of the full menu. I had a Maine blueberry shortcake (a la mode) which was delicious. Service... More

Took a break from driving the loop road at Acadia National Park and ended up In the town of Seal Harbor. Found this restaurant by accident. We had the clam chowder and the crab melt both were excellent. The waiter split both items for us we could both sample. I have never had better clam chowder....made on the spot from... More

With all the high-priced restaurants available in Bar Harbor, visitors are missing a very special evening out if you don't check out the Lighthouse Restaurant. Because it's in Seal Harbor, it is so often overlooked. Yet, it's a mere 7 miles from Bar Harbor. The food is excellent, some of the best salmon and haddock we have ever eaten. The... More

Charming, cozy local place with good homemade food. Kitschy fishing village decor, but quaint. We shared fried calamari and we each had a bowl of delicious chowder filled to the brim with fresh seafood and served piping hot with soup crackers and homemade breads. Satisfying after a long hike.

The town is tiny and cute. I was looking for an escape from Bar Harbor and it's cruise ship crowds. Food just ok, wouldn't go back. More like a diner - "restaurant" in the business name doesn't fit. Furniture and decor like back in the 50's, food types similar. When I asked if I could have a salad with my... More
