We always have had a dinner at Kens but this time we were very disappointed. Prices were a bit higher than others and we found that this time the quality wasn't there like before. In Kens defense it may have been a off night.

This IS the place for clams. Forget the clam shack in Kennebunkport and go up route 1 to Scarborough. Well worth the drive. The clams are the main feature, but they have others elections too. The breaded clams are the size of onion rings & so moist and tender. The fried clams are equally as good. We had a combo and... More

We ate at Ken's twice during our visit in August, it was recommended by a local. The first time my husband had the clam plate which cam with fries and coleslaw, my son had a lobster roll plate (also with fries and coleslaw, and I had a haddock burger. We had one pop and 2 water (tap water - not... More

Well, this is a counter service restaurant with a very loud PA system announcing orders. Also, it is quite pricey for the lack atmosphere (our party of 9's order came to $175). People enjoyed their lobster, but we learned a valuable lessons when it came to the fried clams. One of us ordered the "crumb coating" and another "batter dipped".... More

This is your basic fried seafood place. Lots of seating on picnic tables inside and out. You order at the counter and they call your number. Husband had lobster roll, which was kind of bland. I had the clam strips which were perfect. Mine came with fries. I think I ate fries every day for a week, as that's what... More

My husband and I went to Ken's for the first time last weekend. One of my husband's co workers suggested we try it out. There was a line when we got there, and we were nicely surprised at how quickly it was moving to place our order. We did notice that someone in line had a paper menu, and after... More

In my past review, I note that Ken's Place has the best fried clams. While the whole belly clams and clam strips are still awesome, a couple other things were lacking. At my last visit, my girlfriend and I ordered a haddock and whole belly clam dinner with a small order of clam strips. The clams and clam strips were... More

We are foodies so we are very critical, however this food was gross!! For 4 people to eat it was over 100.00, and batter tasted like it had not been changed in a while. Fried clams & fried haddock dinners, onion rings.... Very disappointed!!

This place has gone downhill since last year. Frankly, the fried shrimp had no shrimp flavor. Could have been anything fried. The french fries were okay. The cole slaw is flavorless. They charged us for drinks that we didn't order (and they re-imbursed when we pointed it out(. Only good thing about Ken's is the price. I hardly ever give... More

We were on vacation in Old Orchard Beach and wanted a casual dinner, everywhere was packed and this place was available and it looked like there was a decent crowd, and we mistook it for a place with good food. The atmosphere was that of a meat shop, the line out the door to order at the window was ridiculous... More
