While on vacation with family, dined at Ken's Place in Rt 9. Very good and large portions. Would recommend to everyone. We have been going there for many years now and each year make it a point to go many times during the summer months. They have indoor and outdoor dining areas. Have been there for lunch with friends also.

We have been to a lot of restaurants since we have been here and this was not one of our favorites. Each time we have driven by in always seems to be rather busy so we finally decided to stop in after the lunch rush. It was rather load with the PA system, inside temp was comfortable, tables NOT clean,... More

My girlfriend and I found this restaurant while driving in the Old Orchard Beach, ME area. The seafood was delicious! We both ordered scallop dinners. They were cooked to perfection and a large quanitity was given. Seafood prices in ME are rather pricey. The prices were in line with others in the area. The difference in ME is the seafood... More

This is a very successful place that has been in business for decades. So they must be doing something right. In fact they do. I have never seen a place churn out vast quantities of fried food as quickly and efficiently as Ken's Place. To be fair there are non fried items on the menu but I saw few takers.... More

Visiting Old Orchard Beach in the off season is great for privacy, bad for finding somewhere to eat. After spending about an hour trolling up and down the main drag on foot looking for anything that was open, we decided to hop back into the car and try the seafood place that we passed on the way in. It was... More

I have not been here in about 3yrs. I really loved their fried clams in batter. This time they seemed tasteless to me. Could it be a different cooking oil? I don't know. I might try them in bread crumbs if there is a next time.

Lobster rolls, fried clams and clam chowder all well prepared and thoroughly enjoyed. We visited twice this year on our trip to Maine. The first time for a late afternoon lunch when we ate there. The second time was dinner and the place was packed so we did take-out. Both times the food was well prepared. I do agree with... More

We stop here only once or twice a year because the crowds between Memorial and Labor Day are huge. To avoid the masses, we usually choose to arrive later in the evening. Even then, the haddock is the best in the area, and the food is consistently good.

We always have had a dinner at Kens but this time we were very disappointed. Prices were a bit higher than others and we found that this time the quality wasn't there like before. In Kens defense it may have been a off night.

This IS the place for clams. Forget the clam shack in Kennebunkport and go up route 1 to Scarborough. Well worth the drive. The clams are the main feature, but they have others elections too. The breaded clams are the size of onion rings & so moist and tender. The fried clams are equally as good. We had a combo and... More
