If you are visiting the Blue Hill peninsula and have a family, you can all eat here a lot less expensively than a typical sit-down restaurant. Typical Mexican food but made with the freshest ingredients and a big variety of sauces to choose from. Outdoor picnic tables and an indoor screened porch room if that's your choice. Friendly owners. Go.

Rustic setting, picnic tables, order at the counter and enjoy some really fresh, generous servings of great Mexican food. Screened in dining deals with the skeeters. Friendly, charming, totally casual setting off the beaten track in Maine.

Had the special salad of the day which was 'spicy lobster' with greens. The greens were fresh, and the lobster was plentiful but not at all spicy. Burrito was decent. Prices were good. Very informal. Inside and outside seating at picnic tables. Portapotty :(

It's been over 6 years since I visited Sedgwick, ME, and what a great surprise to find a TRUELY Mexican restaurant there. We were traveling with a friend who had lived in Mexico for several years, and she was very excited to find Horchata on the menu- a delicious and refreshing sweet beverage made from rice. The burritos and angus... More

Like most "mom & pop" restaurants, the days they are open are limited to Wed through Sun. This little place in the woods is always packed when they are open. You can take your food out or dine in the outdoor screened porch on a picnic table. We each had a burrito and we all enjoyed them. Mine was the... More

If you are visiting in this beautiful coastal area, you might wonder if you really want to go for Mexican -- in the woods -- no water view. My answer is, "Yes. Yes you do". Sit at a picnic table and enjoy freshly made heaven. One of us had a Vegetable Burrito. Delicious with eggplant, squash, onions, peppers and artichoke... More

We vacation on the Blue Hill Peninsula every summer. We came across El El Frijoles 4 years ago and have been returning ever since. It is honestly one of the coolest little places we have ever been. Their food is so tasty and flavorful. We usually order their specials right off the board. Yesterday, we picked the lobster and crab... More

Delicious food - homemade tortillas, homemade salsa. We have had burritos, quesadillas, lobster burrito, and carne asada. All were delicioso.

What a find! El El Frijoles had some of the best Mexican food I have ever tasted. The ingredients were so fresh. I am not a huge salad person, but the mixed salad and homemade dressing accompanying my outstanding fresh crab and cheese quesadilla was delicious. The folks at the counter and cooking the meals could not have been friendlier.... More

We stopped here for lunch and had some great food! It's so fresh and creative. The servings are large, there was a ton of food. The salsas are homemade and out of this world. We were there on a sunny day and sat at a picnic table, the kids played on the swings while we waited for the food, so... More
