My wife and I have been going to the Cockpit Café for over 7 years now. It is our weekly breakfast outing and we have enjoyed every visit. We have come to know the staff and joke with them all the time. It is great fun to watch the small planes come and go while you eat. The food is... More

The food & prices are reasonable. The issue is that it is SO good there's ALWAYS a waiting line. You can see the planes land and take off. The Cafe is nicely painted and has military gear on the walls. Guys and boys would love this place, but I love it too.

The Cockpit Cafe is attached to a small aviation school / airport in Sanford ME. It's small, but it has a deck that can be used in good weather. The walls are covered with WW2 aviation memorabilia, including Army Air Force uniforms and even ammo. The breakfast food was uniformly excellent, with pumpkin pancakes to die for! The service was... We didn't have to wait long for a table. Pancakes were good, omelet was good too. Coffee was good and always refilled before I had to ask. A good place for breakfast.

Summer flies ... As in the insects that buzz all around the interior of this eatery in the summer months. The have kitchen windows open without screens and the reault is predictable. The food is great, but I avoid this place until the fall months.

I've been going to the Cockpit Cafe for two years and highly recommend it for breakfast. It's a nice-sized restaurant with lots of aviation flair. The staff is very friendly and efficient. Try any of the Eggs Benedict dishes, or Rudy's Special (my personal favorite). I have never had lunch there, but it is wicked busy at breakfast time. The... More

Cockpit Cafe has the best breakfast, hands down. Great atmosphere, service and home made food all wrapped into one small shop. Watch the planes fly away and land here at this remote destination, grab some home made bread with a smile. The food is cooked to order and perfect every time. I want to say tell everyone about this great... More

I have been a regular at the Cockpit Cafe for years, and I have to say they continue to offer a wonderful breakfast. The selection of eggs benedict varieties rivals that at any of the restaurants in Portland and is of excellent quality. My favorite is eggs vegetarian benedict with a side of bacon--I know that defeats the vegetarian idea,... More
