I like to come in here for breakfast real early with all the other locals. They also make food to go so when I am in a hurry I can run in and grab a breakfast sandwich made quickly. The staff is genuine and nice. Check this out if you are in Saco.

We always come here on trips to Maine for breakfast every morning. I learned of this place while I attended college at UNE. The food is always out quickly and hot, also delicious. The service is always great. We keep coming back because its a no-rush atmosphere and its always welcoming.

When visiting the beach, Old Orchard Beach, Maine, went off beach to find the perfect breakfast diner. Delicious home made omelets, bacon cooked just right, toast to perfection, over easy eggs just right, cold OJ, hot coffee. Worth the trip. Visited twice during our 4 day stay on the beach. They do serve lunch, but has breakfast both visits. Family... More

My dad likes it so we came here for breakfast. Sat down right away on a Sunday morning which is a great thing in itself. The food and service were fine. No issues. It's not the yolk on Chicago but the food was as expected. For simply not waiting I would eat here again in a heartbeat.

Hadn't been to the Golden Rooster in a while; went today after being treated very badly at Lucky Loggers. Although they had just closed, Wendy greeted us with a big smile and insisted we stay! She made me a fresh pot of decaf, and served the excellent breakfast quickly and efficiently. Definitely our new breakfast joint!

We stopped here for breakfast. All I can say is that it was just okay. We were hungry, we ate there and there was nothing memorable about the place that would make me want to return. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. I have been back in the area, but have passed by this place to find and... More

I always eat at the Golden Rooster every time I am in Saco, Maine. They put the big chain diners to shame. Their breakfast menu is the best.

Great food, fun atmosphere, right and sunny. Inexpensive but they don't skimp on service or portions. They close early so don't dawdle!

My husband and I came here for breakfast on a recent trip to OOB. Food is edible but nothing to rave about. We both got the "pancake special": 2 eggs, sausage or bacon, and 2 pancakes. The pancakes were really dry- I had to keep putting syrup on them so I could swallow them. Presentation is lacking as well. Our waitress... More

Stopped for lunch today - they have a nice selection of Greek dishes along with typical American food... Nothing to write home about, but it worked for us. Not very crowded, but then tourist season is just about over with.
