Got the haddock sandwich and couldn't taste the fish! Mostly bread and batter. Had a bowl of fish chowder and was 1/2 and 1/2 straight out of the carton with cooked fish in it. Had no flavor at all! I guess sometimes you can't trust ratings. Sorry we won't be back

Lunch is my favorite. They have a great Thanksgiving wrap with real turkey! It's the best! The location is convenient & the owners are usually there cooking & taking your orders.

My partner and I met a couple of friends here for lunch one sunny day in November. This restaurant uses the self serve concept where you order at the counter and go grab your food when your number is called. The place was brightly decorated with a nautical theme, the tables were clean and it had plenty of natural light... More

All the food here is good. I love the fried clams and haddock etc. I have never had a bad meal here. But the breakfasts are FANTASTIC! Try a blintz? You'll want to go back for more. Their pancakes are good and the regular breakfast item are tasty and a good value for your money.I would recommend this restaurant for... More

Our local family members picked skippers to meet for lunch, and it was a great choice. Nine of us came in and ordered some great food, sat around and talked while we ate and were not rushed at all while we continued to talk long after the food was gone. We had family from Ct. Mass. Saco, and Australia sitting together... More

I am from out of state but stop here every week or two when I'm in town. This afternoon I order a box lunch of fried clams and pay with my credit card. Immediately after signing I ask the woman if I could by chance exchange the fries for onion rings. Yes, for $one dollar. I said ok and gave... More

Skipper's haddock brings back memories of suppertime on Chebeague Island. After selling his lobsters in Portland, my dad would bring home a haddock right off the boat that had just got in from fishing. My Mom was an amazing cook and would fry up the best haddock you have ever tasted. Now I go to Skippers for that same amazing... More
