My frugal senior relatives drive from miles away because there's no tipping. It's really just plain delicious. Love the haddock sandwich; can barely get hands around it. I live locally now. Just moved here from NY. Whenever we feel like going out to dinner, Skippers usually comes to mind as our first choice. Prices so reasonable. From seafood to rotisserie chicken to breakfast. This place has it all (to quote Stephan from SNL). Potato Salad and baked beans are the best. But wait, the absolute coup de... More

The seafood here was just OK. I had the scallop basket. Scallops were good. Other people I ate with said the food was good, but not great. It was a cute little restaurant with neat decor. I thought it was a little pricey for the quality and probably wouldn't eat there again.

I live away from Maine now but anytime I come home for a visit this is a MUST. I love the atmosphere of this restaurant and the staff is always friendly and helpful. The lobster rolls are delicious and reasonably priced. Check it out!

The food is always delicious, service is fast, and the environment is great! My only suggestion would be to make the meatloaf a regular menu item--it's excellent but only available as a special currently. If you want a good quality, reasonably priced meal (especially if you're looking for good seafood during the winter months), check out Skippers. They won't disappoint.... More

The food is good here; really excellent seafood - if you eat in. There's not a lot of ambience. There's some gitchy art on the windows by a local artist. The problem lies with take out. No napkins, no utensils, no catsup. The reason I'm getting take-out is because I'm in a hurry and I don't have time to check... More

We have driven by Skipper's many times, but only recently stopped by for lunch. What a pleasant surprise it was to dine here. Now we have been back 3 more times. You do order and pay at the counter and pick up when your number is called...but this is a little distraction to the taste and quality of the food.... More

I went with my dad for lunch. I had the chicken tender meal with the fries and coleslaw and a roll. The chicken tenders are excellent and real. Not junk like McDonald's. My dad got the buffalo Fish wrap and a small clam chowder. He said the wrap was really good (I tried a bite and would agree). He said... More

We frequent Skippers regularly and I can honestly say that I have never had a bad meal. Nice selection of fried seafood, sandwiches, wraps, soups, and salads. Not a fancy restaurant (order and pick up food at the counter), but the quality if the food is excellent. Fresh, well prepared, and fairly priced!

This is a great place to get seafood. It is inexpensive and good portions. You always get rolls and coleslaw with your meal. I hear the breakfast is good although I have never eaten breakfast there.
