The food is always delicious, service is fast, and the environment is great! My only suggestion would be to make the meatloaf a regular menu item--it's excellent but only available as a special currently. If you want a good quality, reasonably priced meal (especially if you're looking for good seafood during the winter months), check out Skippers. They won't disappoint.... More

The food is good here; really excellent seafood - if you eat in. There's not a lot of ambience. There's some gitchy art on the windows by a local artist. The problem lies with take out. No napkins, no utensils, no catsup. The reason I'm getting take-out is because I'm in a hurry and I don't have time to check... More

We have driven by Skipper's many times, but only recently stopped by for lunch. What a pleasant surprise it was to dine here. Now we have been back 3 more times. You do order and pay at the counter and pick up when your number is called...but this is a little distraction to the taste and quality of the food.... More

I went with my dad for lunch. I had the chicken tender meal with the fries and coleslaw and a roll. The chicken tenders are excellent and real. Not junk like McDonald's. My dad got the buffalo Fish wrap and a small clam chowder. He said the wrap was really good (I tried a bite and would agree). He said... More

We frequent Skippers regularly and I can honestly say that I have never had a bad meal. Nice selection of fried seafood, sandwiches, wraps, soups, and salads. Not a fancy restaurant (order and pick up food at the counter), but the quality if the food is excellent. Fresh, well prepared, and fairly priced!

This is a great place to get seafood. It is inexpensive and good portions. You always get rolls and coleslaw with your meal. I hear the breakfast is good although I have never eaten breakfast there.

Order at the counter, no ambiance, very thin chowder, and pricing higher than one might expect for what they served. The food was decent but not outstanding. Given the opportunity to return, we passed.

We've been eating @ Skippers for about 8 years now. The seafood is fresh & cooked to perfection. They have small portions "boats" which gives a very good serving including cole slaw & home made fries, allowing us to walk out w/o feeling stuffed! The menu has a nice variety of foods from delicious home made seafood chowders, sandwiches, light... More

Came from New Mexico and going up to Vinalhaven. Got off the highways and went into Saco to go for lunch. Got the friend clams. They are the BEST I have had anywhere, anytime. Worth the detour and I would do it everytime.

Pretty casual place where you order and serve yourself. If you like fried seafood, this is a good local choice. They serve a surprisingly good breakfast also. Parking is limited and it's important to note that they're closed on Mondays.
