Situated where the Saco River meets the sea, this is an ideal restaurant to experience Maine seafood. The fried clams are some of the best around, as well as the broiled scallops. The broiled haddock is also excellent. The wait staff has always been very attentive, courteous and prompt. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Great place for casual dining and the seafood is always fresh with great prices. It is located in front of the beach so you can walk down to beach after you eat.

Too bad it is only a seasonal restaurant! Open late April til mid-September! Call ahead or be prepared to wait for a table! Without a doubt, the best seafood in the area! But, they also have great steaks for the landlubbers. Family owned and operated for many, many years! Can't go wrong with a visit here!

Huot's is a mix of locals and tourists - but hidden away such that it's tough to find though worth it. Located in an area of Saco, Maine called Camp Ellis, what you'll find at Huot's is seafood the way it's meant to be in Maine. Not like the seafood chain restaurants you'll find in the easier to find tourist... More

This is my third visit to Camp Ellis, where Huot's is a stone's throw away. That's why I'm always so disappointed because this place could be great. It's got the atmosphere, the location and the friendly staff. However, the seafood is bland and blah. The battered scallops had good texture but no flavor: none! Don't expect the tartar sauce to... As always, our reviews are solely based on our personal tastes and experiences; they are never intended to persuade/dissuade anyone from patronizing a business. Huot's is a mainstay for locals as well as vacationers, we've eaten there numerous times and they have always delivered a great product - they've been around for years and know how to please their customers.... Huot's was highly recommended by two customers met in a pharmacy up on Rt 1. Clam chowder is worth the drive - not the easiest place to find in Camp Ellis Beach. We enjoyed the combo fried scallop/haddock plate. Scallops were juicy and tender - fish was fresh. Our server, Brittany, was pleasant and certainly made our dining experience very... More

My fiance and I were staying at Old Orchard and wanted to find somewhere to have lunch away from the boardwalk area and all the tee shirt shops, crowds, fried food and amusement park rides. So we took a ride and stumbled upon this little gem. The bartenders were very nice and the drinks were well-made. We had clam cakes,... More
