Typical American restaurant. Noisy, loud,, no tablecloth and crowdy. But the food is excellent. Grillef tacos with clams and avocado are superb. The jerky grilled chicken made with yoghurt and curry and pineapple is a taste I never will forget. The service is perfect thanks to the waiter who gave us good advice.

If ever on the coast of Maine, and you are looking for something outside of Portland, head up to Shepherds Pie in Rockport. First of all, Rockport has to be the cutest town with a harbor. Very Maine, very picturesque. I ate at Shepherds Pie on a whim and am SO glad I did. I was starving when I got... More

We had a family gathering and we found Shepherd's Pie to be the perfect place to take our twentysomething kids to celebrate. I knew I had to have the Shepherd's Pie, of course, and it was amazing! They had a fun beer selection and good wines. Do visit the charming restroom with a great view of Rockport Harbor. Our waitress... More

Sheperd's Pie is the best. Just go there, go early or be prepared to wait. Everything is wonderful. A fun atmosphere.

Love Sephard's Pie - great service, always wonderful food. During the off season you can make a reservation but unsure if they will allow it during the tourist season. Whether you order the specials or items on the menu, you can't go wrong. Fabulous! So happy it is in my backyard!

Service is very friendly but food needs some working on. Very overpriced for portion sizes given. $7 for a couple pieces of brocollini? No thank you.... very loud and small

Small plates available. Food fresh and different. Only complaint is the tables are too close together. Great in the winter - uncrowded and relaxed. Would avoid during the summer season!

The ambience was great, we always like buildings with character and age and Shepherd's Pie is certainly such a place. We were lucky enough to sample it during Restaurant Week although I have to say that while the food was very good, my husband and I didn't think our entrees were exceptional. My husband had a pork chop with a... More

We went there last weekend and had a really poor experiencing and this is one of our favorite places I was quite dissapointed. Our server was a young man that sorely needed more training we had to continually ask for water, he never cleared plates, he would stand by the kitchen and talk when we had piled up dirty starter... We were exploring the Maine coast over Thanksgiving. The staff at the Samorset Resort suggested Shepherd's Pie for dinner Friday evening. The menu was excellent and served as described and adjustments were made for my wife's calorie reducing selections. Service was great. We'll go back if we are in the are, again.
