Fried Seafood!!!

a great seafood restaurant. We always eat here when we're in Rockland. It's a friendly and authentic spot. Reasonable prices with free soft drink refills. The fish and clams are fresh and perfectly cooked. Good fries. Attentive table service with waitresses who hustle and call you "hon". The... read more

Fabulous stuffed scallops and shrimp omelet at best prices in town. Lunch was disappointing with its mayo soaked lobster roll. Diner atmosphere with friendly service.

This bakery offers about eight or nine varieties of bread, and numerous other baked goods and gourmet items. We didn't eat in the large area cafe, but it seems popular with the locals. It is worth a trip to Rockland for the bakery alone. We left with five loaves, intending to freeze some.

Omelet STUFFED with scallops... fantastic crab cake bennies... strong coffee and good service. My only quibble is that it was a bit warm inside despite being a gorgeous 60 degree morning.

Always consistently good. Many menu choices, some with 'all you can eat' options. Terrific Seafood. Off the chart haddock cakes! Don't give the waitresses any grief - they'll give it back. Do yourself a favor and stop in for breakfast, lunch or dinner. A definite winner!

We were looking for dinner after a long day of sightseeing. Most casual eateries close around 9:00, so we were lucky to find Rockland Cafe still open. We had the seafood chowder and fish and chips. They were both excellent! The chowder was full of fish and lobster (no potatoes!) and the fish on the entree was fresh off the... More

We were in Rockland for a windjammer cruise and wanted to get a meal before we headed out to our boat so we tried the Rockland Café. We both went with the Seafood Chowder. This was probably the best seafood chowder I have ever eaten. It does not have any potatoes or onions in it, just seafood- haddock, clams, scallops,... More

After hiking all day , we were starving and craving seafood . Rockland cafe didn't disappoint . Friendly atmosphere , clean restrooms if albeit bright pink , and most importantly great food ! The lobster roll is well proportioned with meat, the lobster stew creamy with big chunks . The seafood stew had a good amount of spice and balance... More

This is a diner, not a rated restaurant. It is run by a family that also fishes so they often have fish that other restaurants do not (they used halibut for my fish and chips just because I asked). This is diner service and diner ambiance - but the food is very good and the prices are reasonable.

The food here had a yummy home-cooked taste, the people were very nice, and we enjoyed just sitting and talking over dinner with a comfortable atmosphere. We have a toddler as well and they were very sweet and accommodating.
