Good food - I had the fried haddock sandwich and fries. Slaw was good (no onion). Wife had the fried shrimp. Fish portions were very large but by piling them on the fries, the fries were soaked in grease and soggy. Not the best but OK

The best thing RC had going for it is their prices. Head the calamari basket and thought it was a good appetizer but not s meal. The good is good just not the serving size.

a return visit, with a mixed review....(some items very good, others very bad) Seafood chowder is by far the best, as they claim. The Lobster roll is only average...just not the freshest in taste. Not worth the high price of 16.99. The Fish and Chips is EXCESSIVELY GREASY ...with small one to two inch pieces of fish, over fried in... More

Good chowder, good lobster, reasonable prices and friendly quick service. The place is small and you may have to wait for a table but it's worth the wait.

We ate the Rockland Cafe when visiting Rockland, Maine last week. The place was mostly full of locals at lunch time. The owner and staff seemed to know everyone and were very friendly. Our service was fast and friendly. I ordered the haddock basket and my husband ordered the scallop basket. The haddock was the better of the two! The... More

Definitely worth a stop before or after the nearby Farnsworth Museum. A small bookstore in back makes it all the better!

This is a really nice cafe. Family owned & run. Excellent seafood. Particularly loved the haddock sandwiches-YUM! Atmosphere is casual and food is plentiful. If your looking for a place to have a cup of coffee (they open at 4:30am) or a lobster dinner, this is the place.

So we really just stopped in here for a quick appetizer, not wanting to ruin our appetite for dinner, but honestly the chicken nuggets and fries my husband and I split were amazing. I know, they're just nuggets and fries, but they really were delicious. Don't miss the blueberry soda, it's so good!

Went for lunch. Fried clams are my usual order. They are always fresh, lightly breaded and not greasy. Service is friendly. Very simple, casual setting that is comfortable. The only issue is parking. Limited out front. There is parking in the back, stairway from the back is steep and somewhat difficult for older patrons to use.
