EXCELLENT SEAFOOD CHOWDER

We always go to Rockland cafe for their seafood chowder. Not filled with anything but excellent seafood; no fillers! My husband also had excellent all you can eat clams (not strips). I had a surprisingly good burger. Wait staff girls at night are a hoot if you get to know them. Wouldnt get the... read more

The lobster was fresh and very cheap. The place is like a diner in that you seat yourself. I recommend to anyone looking for a good value meal.

2 plates of burned fried potatoes and the lobster and crabmeat were definitely not fresh. Very disappointed. We saw another table get the crabmeat bennidict and totally black fried potatoes too so I'm sure this was the "specialty" for the morning.

Ate there twice. Very Good! Seemed to be family run. lobster- twins or triplets. Seafood lasagna and broiled seafood combo were all wonderful!

Locals recommended it. Worth it!! Family run diner style place. Two lobsters, the sweet meat that can't be shipped out of Maine, for roughly 20 bucks. And they are famous for seafood chowder, and it rocks. No potato filler, just tons of seafood in a nice broth that is not milk heavy. Our waiter for two days (we went back)... More

My wife and I stopped in to the Rockland Cafe for a late breakfast. We ordered eggs Benedict, and a mile high (French toast), both with home fries as a side. The coffee was super hot, the food was ok, nothing spectacular. Our waitress Carole was very kind and prompt, due to the lateness of the morning, there were the... More

Had the seafood chowder. Excellent. Service was really good. Fast, even though it was busy. My wife had the Reuben that was really good too.

We had a delicious meal of twin lobsters each along with corn and great fries. The lobsters were delicious. And good price. Friendly waitress.

Visited this local café during a Maine vacation. I walked by last year because it was always busy. The reason is...the "locals" eat here! Had a Codfish Cake and a cup of chowder and would order both again. Save room for a little dessert, as this is a Bakery as well. Had a fresh-baked Oatmeal Raisin Cookie. Yumm An affordable... More

If you are a fan of fish and chips as are we, then you need to be careful. Although pictured as a nice slab of fish as you would expect, what you get is fish nuggets with ho hum fries. What fish you can find was nice and flakey; however, there was far more light batter than there was fish.Overall,... More
