Wanted to get away from the more touristy restaurants in Rockland so we started walking north through town and stopped at the Rockland Cafe & Bakery since the menu looked good (plus, all the specials they had posted outside the restaurant sounded appealing). Other members of our traveling party had the same idea as they joined us not long after.... More

Where else can you find a lobster dinner for $10.99 in mid-August in the Rockland area? This is not a glamorous restaurant, but simply a great place to get a value, home cooked meal. The cole slaw is made by the grandfather, and is to die for. It is usually quite busy because of the low prices and home-cooked food.... More

I have eaten here many times over the years and it is always good, never the best but just right. It is casual, diner like and always packed. The menu choices are vast. This summer they are running a lobster special of 1, 2 or 3 lobsters for les than most entrees. Ours came with cole slaw, home made fries... More

Just a downtown diner, but surprisingly good. It doesn't look like much, but it was full of patrons, so we knew it couldn't be too bad and were pleased with how good it was. My fried clams with belly were so fresh and tender, husbands steamers were also good, son enjoyed his fried calamari.

We drove a really, really long way (I didn't know how far it really was) to get there to eat. The staff was great and very helpful. It was reasonable for what was on the plate. I would do it again.

First time in Maine, very excited to be here, second lobster roll, first in Brunswick, Maine very good, the lobster roll I had here will make me never try another, anywhere! Really it tasted like very BAD crabmeat, very fishy, YUCK! My husband had the nightly special, said it was ok, need to check food before someone gets sick!

Just love this place lobsters were wonderful. We ordered six lobsters they were $22.95 for 3. Service excellent. Bad reviews must come from stuck up city people. This Californian loved it.

Nice little coffee shop. Coffee was excellent and I am a Starbuck fan at heart! Delicious cookies. Wi-Fi available. You go to the counter to place your order and they bring your specialty drinks to you. Right on Main Street so you can look out the window and see the people going down the street.

This classic mom and pop joint is used mainly by locals, and we can see why. It ain't gratuitously nautical, and is pretty plainly furnished, but the owners are in the premises, and the breakfasts were fantastic and reasonably priced. Rockland Cafe is our new first-choice place to dine!
