I loved the whole concept of this restaurant. Antique farmhouse with inviting decor inside that seems to go on and on with each room you go through. I like the idea of locally sourced products especially the farm that's attached to the back of the property. Staff very knowledgeable and the food was delicious. The one thing that I was... More

We went to Primo this past weekend for my birthday. Many of our friends rave about it so we thought it would be a nice change. The building itself is beautifully decorated on the outside for Christmas. Inside, the entry hallway is rather narrow and it felt awkwardly crowded to try to take off our coats and give them to... Primo is one of the best restaurants we've encountered. It never disappoints. The meat, produce and fish are all locally sourced, much of it from Primo's own farm behind the restaurant. The food is beautifully presented, interestingly conceived and alive with flavor. The service is consistently exceptional and the ambience comfortable and inviting. If you're in the mid-coast area, don't... More

High end dining where the dress code is tux to jeans. The food was excellent, plenty if it, very differently prepared than just any other Restuarant. Certainly a gourmet style.. I found something interesting that I likes besides the food... From the parking lot , the walk way and the front hall way you could view the kitchen. Very clean... More

This is an excellent restaurant we've been to on "special" occasions. The service can be a little slow but at those prices you don't want to feel rushed - it's a fine line. The food is outstanding and the wine list is impressive. We've never been disappointed.

Went here for dinner at the end of September so it was a bit off-season already - consequently less crowded than it can get during the summer. We had a heirloom tomato salad, grilled duck breast, pork saltimbocca and finished everything off with house-made cannoli. The food was absolutely delicious - I thought I wouldn't care too much for the... More

I have been waiting to go to Primo for years, my best friend , who is also a foodie came for a visit and I decided perfect time. We made reservations last minute and were seated in the bar which was very nice, waitress was very nice. To my surprise the food was uneventful, and so disappointing. We didn't have... More

Truly a dining experience. Between the excellent food and the service, it is a fantastic experience. You'll be greeted with a smile, the service is friendly and they know their meals and ingredients and the food and deserts are phenomenal. My favorite is in November when they butcher the pigs they raise on the grounds as well as the vegetables... More

This is the best restaurant in this part of mid-coast Maine. It is slightly expensive for the area, but provides good value for what you get. Ample and sizeable portions, especially if you're hungry. Very high quality dishes and presentations. Everything is seasonal, fresh and locally-sourced. Very nice and creative cocktails, and a good wine list. Advance reservations are a... More

Primo simply does not disappoint. My wife and I dined there on Sunday, Oct.26 and enjoyed superior food and excellent service. Previously, we had dined in the bar upstairs, but this night we were seated in the lovely and tasteful back dining room. The only disappointment this night was the selection of red wines by the glass. We are becoming... More
