This was our second dining experience at this phenomenal restaurant. I think I enjoyed this meal even more than our first time around, and I LOVED that as well. Everything was perfect, the ambiance, waitstaff, drinks and of course THE FOOD! Wow. Every bite was delicious and perfectly prepared. My husband and I got different apps/entrees/desserts and shared them. We... More

Hi, It is expensive, but generally is the very best restaurant in the area. We went for our 51st anniversary. We know we will get excellent food there. Everything was great. The servers were attentive and courteous. Our waitress recommended the special dessert. A Key Lime desert with caramelized and crisp philo pastery. It was astonishing in its wonderful flavor.... Primo has been on my "bucket list" since seeing it highlighted on Anthony Bourdain "No Reservations" a few years ago. The experience did not disappoint. Everything was very inventive and unusual and true to their mission statement, they do use as much of the ingredient as possible.......at least I assume that's why Fried Head Cheese was the special appetizer of... It was very tough to get reservations here, and thank you again to our innkeeper Cheryl who made it happen. If you plan to dine here in the summer it is probably a good idea to book reservations a month or more in advance. Primo is located a little beyond the town, parking is limited but inexpensive taxi service is... More

How to describe three fabulous meals, each different, each so creative and satisfying? If we were in Rockland more frequently, we'd visit more often. The special amuse-bouches that appear between courses, the elegantly casual service, the great juxtapositions of flavors, the freshness of ingredients straight from the restaurant's gardens, the menu that goes on and on with wonderful choices--okay, I... Expensive, crowded, busy and pretentious! No reason for the food, which was good, to be at the price point listed.

We felt very lucky when the person on the phone said "No reservation? That's OK - we have open seating." When we showed up at 6:45, the hostess led me upstairs and introduced me to the manager. He wrote my name down, and said it would be about 15 minutes. So we waited. And waited. After 30 minutes, my wife... More

They make you feel like they are doing you a favor by allowing you spend to $600 at their restaurant. We are NOT COMING BACK anytime soon! First, I must say that our party of 6 loved the food and drink. Appetizers (kale salad, oysters, quail and soup) were all great. Entrees (duck, fruiti di mare, scallops and lubina) were... More
