Nice dinner, good flavors and professional. The manager seem to be a bit rude, but otherwise a fine restaurant. Would we travel to Rockland just to experience Primo?...Probably not! It is a hype, Boston has better restaurants.

When ever we go there we know we will have a wonderful meal, exceptional service and a great experience. The menu is wonderfully creative with many choices and always delicious and beautifully presented. It is a special place, but feels very homey. It is truely one of our favorite places in Maine,

I've been to Primo many times and have always had a glorious experience. The food is fresh, interesting and varied and the atmosphere is wonderful. Most recently we went in September for our wedding night. We were treated like royalty and had a great time. Of special note was the wine our waiter helped us choose - very, very knowledgeable!... As experienced restaurant goers and true foodies, Primo was one of our best dining experiences ever! Get there early, I cannot express this enough. We arrived at 4:45 (they open at 5:00) and the cars were already lining up! We ate upstairs, seated at a corner table in the front of the building that was part of one of their... More

A true brunch, with their own true Primo touches. Too late now, they're closed until May. But cone back then for dinner. The best, freshest, homemade sausage ever. Excellent wine list. Excellent service. Extraordinary key lime dessert. One if the single best restaurants in Maine. Period.

Everything that comes out of Melissa Kelly's kitchen has a perfectly nuanced flavor. At least it did on New Year's Eve 2013. New Year's Eve is an opportunity for many restaurants to rip you off with inflated prices and haphazard preparation. But the standards at Primo don't allow for that even on a hectic night packed with frozen revelers. My... More

I can't tell you how much I enjoyed my dinner. The attention to detail was so perfect and the wait staff was so attentive I couldn't have asked for a more immersive experience. The appetizers were A M A Z I N G ! ! ! and in fact we ordered more! before the entrées arrived. The entrées were memorable,... More

Perhaps because we dined the night before at Natalie's or because we just had expected more, either way Primo was disappointing. Recommended by friends as the 'to-go-to' restaurant in the area, we booked a table way in advance. Upon arrival we had to wait 20 minutes and the restaurant was not even that busy. The food was either blend of... More

Our recent dinner at Primo was the best restaurant meal we've ever had. This is high praise given how frequently we travel. From the appetizer to the dessert, our meals were consistently outstanding, with farm to table fresh ingredients and a creative menu that changes daily. My chicken had been roaming the property that morning! The atmosphere, in an older... More

Dinning at Primo was an amazing experience while visiting Maine this fall. They provide two seperate dining adventure (1) formal downstairs option (2) walk-in with very relaxed atmosphere upstairs. Bonus option with the upstairs seating is that you get TWO amazing menu options to pick from!!! If your in Rockland and have a date or want great dinner that will... More
