This place is a wonderful choice for a special meal! We toured the grounds first and saw the fresh veggies, herbs and greens being grown. Also, the pigs and chickens are there. Its nice to see them roaming free and eating well. The restaurant is in a farmhouse with the first floor being more formal dining with white tablecloths and... More

We couldn't get a reservation on a Friday night, but we lucked into a banquette near the upstairs open kitchen area. Wow, we not only were able to enjoy the tastes of the delicious food we ordered, but we got to smell so many other wonderful dishes being prepared. This is a wonderful restaurant. Every person we were served by... More

I have never been to a restaurant that is almost totally self-sustaining and it was such a great experience. We had a wonderful dinner and then went back the next day to walk around the property and see the gardens and animals. What a pleasure. My husband and I were so happy with everything, from a simple heirloom tomato salad... More

Amazing food! And the cheese plate selection was wonderful. My only complaint is the noise level -- I could hear the entire conversation of the neighboring table. Perhaps Primo should raise the volume on their sound system.

We had a special birthday dinner at Primo last night. The parking lot was jammed full; and we anticipated the wonderful meal that we have had there in the past. We were seated immediately; our server was a bland young man, not objectionable, but no personality either. It's been a long season I'm sure. Cocktails wonderful, and server provided all... More

When you walk past the appealing wrap-around porch into the front door, you can see the automatic sliding glass doors into the kitchen and realize this is not one of your run-of-the-mill restaurants. The list of cocktails and the menu options are amazing at this restaurant. Actually, it was almost too much. Kind of went in with a clear mind,... More

Service was friendly and knowledgable. The food was well presented and very fresh. Serving size was generous enough to be shareable.

After hearing great things about Primo for years we finally got here. We were really surprised by how many people the restaurant served. But we soon learned why it enjoys the reputation it does. Melissa Kelly, the chef/owner, touches every dish that leaves the kitchen. The food is beautifully prepared, the service is excellent and the veggie gardens are unbelievable.... More

The food is outstanding and the staff great but I just felt packed in. I know it’s a short season but seating shoulder to shoulder was not relaxing and it was a Monday night!. Give me some space!

While staying at the Samoset, we decided to try this restaurant. The food is incomparable. I had the whole lobster, split, along with beautiful fresh vegetables from the farm behind the property. Service was impeccable, and ambience in this restored Victorian summer house made us feel at ease. Wine list, dessert, coffee--all kept adding to a pleasurable experience.
