My wife and I returned to Primo after a too long absence and were delighted to see all we loved and admired was not only still working but that it continued to expand and improve. We arrived early to take a quick look at the ever expanding and flourishing farm and to meet the little pigs which will be enjoyed... More

We really wanted to love Primo, having heard so many good things about it over the years. I love their true farm to table approach but sadly, it just didn't live up to our expectations. We had 7:30 reservations on a Saturday night and arrived an hour early hoping to have a cocktail. We were greeted warmly although the multiple... More

We heard many positive things about this restaurant and had to try it. The service was good and our appetizers (Oysters and Clams) and Farmers Salad were very good. Unfortunately, three of us ordered the New York Strip steak and were very disappointed. We all found it tough and, at $42, not worth the price. The fourth person in our... More

Two of our entrees were outstanding and the third one was quite good. The first were beef and halibut while the third was a swordfish which was well prepared but the meat was a bit fattier than that of a first rate specimen. Desserts were excellent especially the deep chocolate. Zepole are also worth a trip there. Service was knowledgeable... More

Pricey, but worth every penny. Out of this world flavor- top quality food-delicious desserts. We prefer to dine upstairs verse down while visiting. Little more rowdy and not up tight. Can't wait to go back!!!

We've eaten at Primo a dozen times during the past decade. Without exception, the meals have been wonderful ... the whole experience has been superb. The menu is varied ... something for every taste. Natural ingredients come from the on-site nursery. Checkens also are raised on site. And the desserts are to die for.

The most fantastic, creative, and inspired farm to table meal in Maine. The menu changes daily to ensure only the freshest most seasonal ingredients. The bar and antipasti room (no reservations) open at 5, and dinner at 5:30. The Desserts are to Die for. The chef, Melissa Kelly, has won two James beard awards and if you arrive early you... More

Be prepared to relax and enjoy a tranquil atmosphere while having the finest food. I can't say enough about how flavorful each and every meal I’ve ever had there. But also be prepared for the check, you do get what you pay for at this establishment but for the common person, it could be over budget.
