Can this menu be real? Yes it can!

This is a small and somewhat funky space a little but off the main drag in Rockland that has a menu that must be seen to be believed. The word eclectic is too freely used but this menu deserves it. A little comfort food, a little Asian, a little western and a little that is all its own. Given its... read more

I get the ingredients are farm fresh and all, but really?? $12 for a burger that doesn't include anything???? You literally have to pay $2 for a slice of tomato! Each additional item is $2 each, so by the time your done customizing your burger your up to $20!! Sorry, but I'm not paying that much for a slab of... More

Unfortunately, our visit recently was a real disappointment. They sat our party of 6 at 2 very small tables; the waitress was attentive for a while, then wasn't; the order took 45 minutes to come out; the spaghetti and meatballs were not tasty and the pasta was under cooked pasta and some were in pasty stuck-together balls as if never... We joined a line of people waiting to get into Cafe Miranda, a quaint place around the corner from the Farnsworth Museum. There is an indoor and outdoor space. It is very pink, artsy decorated place and the theme seems to be flamingos- a reference to Carmen Miranda? The waitresses seemed very harried, as they had to do incoming seating... More

Located just around the corner from the wonderful Farnsworth Museum this culinary gem is well worth the effort as you will rarely see such an inventive and appetizing a menu. Lunch featured wood roasted haddock tacos with poblanos and caramelized onions - amazing! Along with seared scallops in lobster butter sauce - oh my! We can't wait to get back... More

We were walking the streets of Rockland on a Friday evening taking in the the shops and art museums, especially enjoying the Farnsworth Musem that night. Cafe Miranda had a trailer with a wood burning pizza oven and we ordered a piece of pepperoni. The pizza is already cooked and your piece gets put back in the oven to warm... More

Don't fret too much deciding what to wear to Cafe Miranda. You may look at the prices and the innovative menu and decide to dress up a bit, only to find that you don't fit in with the little cafe tables laden with giant honking plates piled with giant honking food and the self-consciously funky decor. Or you may dress... More

We loved this restaurant so much that we went twice during our stay in the Rockland area. Reserve your table. This restaurant fills up.And for good reason. Every dish was wonderful. You won't believe the menu. Or that a menu this extensive could offer dishes this tasty in all categories. Recommend the gnocchi appetizer, the roasted greens appetizer , the... More
