I have to recommend the kraut dog with mustard. Best lunch in Rockland if you are pressed for time. And the price is right.

The one downtown is definitely better for some reason than the stand on Route 1. The dogs are fine, hardly great though, and you'll pay a small premium for the "cachet" of standing outside to order and eat.

My first time having a takeaway from Wasses and it will not be my last. This was the most scrumptious bacon dog I have ever had. No more to be said !!

I have driven by this several times on past getaways and finally had a chance to try it. Delicious snappy dogs in steamed buns and the fries were surprisingly very flavorful and unique. Cash only, but it's a cheap meal. Two of us ate a small lunch with no drinks for $8.50.

If you want a cheap, quick meal - this be your place. Locals/tourists - everybody lines-up to get Wassa's hot dogs. Great on a hot summer day - or the worst winter day. Tip: the home made brownies & cookies in the baskets by the register rock. Net/net: GREAT dogs!!!

Love Wasses, it is a wait in line take out with the best hot dogs ever! I enjoy two with everything and a chocolate milk; the Maine way! I was born and raised in Maine so it is always great to go "home."

After hearing so many people rave about these hot dogs, I finally tried one. I don't see what all the fuss is about--- They are decidedly mediocre and can't begin to compare to some of the dogs we get back in PA- In fact, Hebrew Nationals are far superior. I must be missing something! This was just plain bland!
