Archer's is in a perfect location in Rockland, right on the Habor. The food is delicious and the view, breathtaking. Whether you are there for apps & drinks or lunch or dinner Archer's is an excellent choice. The menu offers something for everyone and there is a lot of seating.

I have had past experiences with this particular restaurant when it used to be called "The boat house" had a different owner, and not being nearly as bad, but the food is never really amazing. It does not wow. It is simply this. Out of a box, out a can, frozen, and maybe fresh greens. It doesnt take much to... More

My husband asked a local where we should eat and Archer's was recommended. The food and the service were above reproach. Absolutely wonderful. We shared the steamed mussels for starters. They were steamed in onion, garlic, smoked sausage, white wine and fresh tomatoes served with crispy crostini. Delicious! Then we shared the lobster melt. This also tasted wonderful with plentiful... On a cold Nov day it was so cozy inside looking out over the water with a fireplace going. The bowl of Lobster stew was huge and overflowing with lobster. Some ofbthe best I've ever had. Be prepared to pay for it though. It's $19.00 for the bowl. But worth it!

Went in with four friends for a late lunch. We arrived between lunch and dinner, so the restaurant was almost empty. Beautiful view of the Rockland Breakwater and islands beyond the harbor. Our meals ranged from a crab roll, to fish tacos to a fish reuben. All were delicious and we are making plans to go back with our spouses.

I wanted to wine and dine my new girlfriend over the past weekend and went to archers. The hotel we were staing at said it had a nice view but was not clear on the food. Very nice view of rockland harbor. Our server was very nice as well. She told us what not to order. She should have told... More

We like our fried food well done (cooked through, not mushy) and not greasy. That's what we got when we ordered fried clams at the Archer--mushy & greasy. And this was after a long conversation with the waitress about cooking our clams well, thank you. We complained and did not eat them, but she took nothing off the bill. The... More

Did not have to wait long for food--it was good. Service was pleasant and attentive. Almost too attentive as I was talking to someone, my dessert and drink disappeared. Really got the feeling we had overstayed our visit and it was time to move along.. the waitress saved me alot of dessert calories but I'm still missing the rest of... More

Sat out on the deck on a beautiful fall day with a view of the Rockland breakwater. Ate a delicious crabmeat roll with a toasted bun like they do Maine. Yum! Good sized portions. Attentive wait staff. Reasonable prices.

Arrive well before dark and soak up the scenery while you sip on your local brew. Layer up clothing and go for the deck - that's where this place really shines. We've never been disappointed with any meal we've ordered here but my favorites are the fish tacos, the seafood pie and the burger. My wife says they have great... More
