Nice local downtown restaurant. I had the burger with blue cheese and sweet potatoe fries, husband had the pastrami sandwich sweet potatoe fries. Burger was cooked perfectly and delicious. Waitress was friendly and helpful. Upon leaving they were making popcorn and the aroma was something else. They let me take some home in a take out container. Seems like a... More

Food is average, nothing special by any means. We sat on the patio and a friends credit card fell under the deck. We tried to speak with a manager but there wasn't one at the restaurant. The waitress was rude and said she couldn't help. We were just trying to figure out a way to retrieve the card but no... More

After being seated at a dirty table we ordered and the wait was on... 45 minutes later our order arrived .Fried clams were burnt .Complaint went no where. There is a very young inexperienced staff and no management present. The place was not crowded on the night we were there. The drunks at the bar were entertaining though.

Waterworks is a friendly tavern that serves very good down to earth food. Good variety of sandwiches and other quick meals. The staff is very friendly and the outdoor seating is large. Excellent place to stop in for a quick meal.

In all fairness I need to give them another shot. Sat in the bar area. After we ordered we were told a party of 30 came in just before my friend and I got there and that it would be a while before we would receive our order. We asked for bread, and asked, and asked. Finally got a couple of... More

While I have been back and forth to Rockland for the past five years, Waterworks had somehow escaped detection. It was recommended by a local B&B and I am very happy that it was. While steamed lobster was not on the menu (per se), the folks were most accommodating and cooked up a good sized hard shell which I was... More

This is a good stop for lunch..they have daily specials and good beer on tap. Pleasant atmosphere and good service. Well worth a stop while in town.. Fish and chips and their burgers are the top edibles....

We were on our way to the Rockland Breakwater. My boyfriend just looked up to find a restaurant and this one came up!!! We decided to eat there. The food was resonably priced, the waiter was very nice and we had a seat on the deck!!! The food was great too!! We will definitely go back another time.....

This restaurant was on a list of "suggested" (not recommended..want to be clear about that) places to dine while i met up with friends in Rockland. We arrived around 5:30 and it appeared to be a busy place (good sign), we were told to wait at the bar for the next seating ...I cannot say that we felt "welcomed" more... More

The Waterworks Restaurant continues its pub atmosphere with daily specials, a well stocked bar and friendly staff. Serving lunch and dinner, the right-sized menu selection along with the caulk board specials allows Waterworks to prepare fresh, tasty food at a reasonable price. Free popcorn is available and the popper is hot, so parents should help their children who want to... More
