In Rockland for the weekend and made several trips to the Home Kitchen Cafe. The HUEVOS RANCHEROS are to die for, spicy, bold, perfectly cooked eggs and those hand pressed corn tortillas make it perfect. The wife had a corn beef and Swiss Omelet special with so much corn beef we thought we were at a NY Deli, the combo... More

My husband and I had Home Kitchen Cafe on our "must try' list during a recent trip to the Rockland area. We had originally wanted to try it for lunch the day we arrived into town. When we arrived, we were disappinted that all the tables on the upstairs deck were taken and it didnt seem like anyone was leaving... More

We've dined here several times and have yet to be disappointed. The food is so good and they have something for everyone. The breakfasts & burgers are always a favorite and the uniqueness of flavors used make it extra good! This is not your average restaurant. It's very casual with a high energy atmosphere. It's always busy and for good... More

I ate here one day driving through Rockland. It was clean and the service was great! Then my food came out. It was very tasty and the coffee was great too!

This is a bustling place with good food and good service. It has character and provides a nice breakfast experience for one visiting Rockland. We had French toast and Ranchos Hueveros. Good coffee and good food. Lots of life in this place.

We arrived at Home Kitchen at 7:30 AM on 07/12/14, in anticipation of a pleasant breakfast, as we had recently eaten breakfast here several times. When we arrived, there were no seats available, and we (party of 3) were the only ones waiting to be seated. There was a very clearly visible sign stating that the “hostess will seat you”.... More

The menu is extensive with breakfast available all day (3:00). I had the fish tacos which were in their homemade corn tortillas and were excellent. My husband had a lobster club club with homemade bread which he raved about. I would say to try and hit lunch early. We got there at 11:30 and easily got a seat on the... More

Felt compelled to stop here because of the reviews. We were staying in Rockland for a few nights. It's a charming (though cramped) place and looking over the menu, we were ready for a great brunch. However, we had to pick two or three things before we could order something they actually had in stock. I realize that inventory can... More

On our way from Bangor to Boston we decided to take a scenic detour to try this restaurant after reading so many positive reviews and after drooling over the breakfast menu. We thought let’s go! When we arrived the restaurant was packed and we were put on a waiting list for a table. We actually wanted to eat outside on... More

The food was very good and the service was prompt and efficient. The blueberry pancakes were fabulous with real Maine maple syrup. Everyone in our group ordered their eggs differently and they were all served just as ordered. We didn't order a cinnamon roll, but they looked especially good.
