This is a simple review!! The food is fantastic! Breakfast and lunch all day! The coffee is delicious. Get a cinnamon bun!! What is more is the women who work there and the owner are real genuine sweethearts!! They made us feel like we were neighbors or long lost friends! It was such a pleasure to eat there!

Lunch yesterday exceeded expectations. I had a garden salad with out of this world blue cheese dressing, the fish tacos and a whoopie pie. Okay okay, I was starving. The salad was full of fresh veggies and everything was super fresh. The fish tacos were unbelievable. They even make their own corn tortillas. I was totally stuffed, but the desserts... More

Loved my breakfast and I am not able to eat gluten. My husband can and does eat everything. They had great options in both categories. Wait staff were friendly, food was delicious.

We just got back from a 10 day trip to Maine and this was the worst meal we had. First, they ran out of my first choice. Then it went downhill. My wife had a Caesar salad. The lettuce was wilted and the croutons were stale. I decided on the fish tacos. Fish was under-seasoned with virtually no taste. The... More

This time of year, you rarely have to wait in line for a table. We went to HKC just about noon and were seated right away. What a great local restaurant, with prompt, friendly service and excellent food. I had the S.T.A.C. (Sprouts, Tomato, Avocado, Cheese) on home-made bread and flavored with Russian dressing. My wife had grilled cheese (2cheeses)... More

Had huevos rancheros which was excellent, corned beef hash was very good also. Got there just as they were opening and already there was a line to get in. Got a table and our waitress was right there! Very attentive and all smiles. Appreciated that they kept coming back to refill the coffee cup which some places lack.

During peak travel season and during weekend breakfast times, you'll wait to get a seat at this very popular café. The menu gives you lots of choices for all kinds of very good breakfast, brunch and lunch meals, but sometimes the service is lacking a bit. For example, the service was inconsistent when we visited on 3 different occasions in... More

And this restaurant has my number! Very busy, can be a long wait at prime hours and weekend, but worth it. Good portions, innovative fare with local ingredients as well as all the old standards just the way I love them.
