Sunny, light filled room is welcoming, and the food is a delight. Fresh produce, fresh salsa, excellent, creative options for breakfast-- pancakes , omelettes, eggs,..with a choice of polenta as a substitute for potatoes if desired. Wonderful, prompt service with endless coffee offered constantly. No need to flag down your servers because they are so attentive. Parking is a bit... More

The food is exceptional here but I do warn to not be in a hurry to eat. This place is always packed and totally worth the wait!

Can't go wrong stopping at Home Kitchen Cafe. Where else can you get a great hamburger served on a homemade bun, as in made on the premises? Excellent food, reasonable prices. We will be back for more soon.

Home Kitchen Cafe never disappoints for breakfast, brunch or lunch. Favorites? Veggie Breakfast Sandwich, Garden Bennies, and Huevos Rancheros. Be prepared for a wait on weekends.

We love this place! The breakfasts are good, varied and interesting. I also loved the Vietnamese sandwich not authentically Vietnamese but a fantastic American rendition. The sweet rolls the place is known for are a sugar feast. Worth avoiding a week of sugar to partake in this. Service is friendly. The place seems always filled with happy patrons.

Friends and I were staying at a hotel nearby and happened to stop by the Home Kitchen Cafe for breakfast. Our waitress, Kim, was full of energy and really sold the place. Everybody had great meals, and my hot chocolate was the cutest! This is a must if you're in the Rockland area. I wish this restaurant was in Bangor.... More

I eat here once a month with a group of fellow retired colleagues. My former co-workers are "morning people." It is not uncommon for part of the group to be standing outside by the door just waiting for the place to open. The group normally consists of 10 people. We push tables together. Our server is always great. She comes... More

Just outside of the main drag it is worth it. They make their bread and use nitrate free bacon. They offer eggs and also tofu. Egg whites- no problem and no extra charge. I had a garden veggie omelet and my wife had the hippie scramble with tofu and one egg. Their homemade cinnamon and sticky buns looked awesome. Oops.... More

Haddock chowder was great...best I have had in ages. Thanks for having more fish than potatoes! Also first place I have eaten where they mix in the salad dressing into the salad instead of serving on side..genius! No lettuce, tomatoes, and onion battle at your seat 😄
