My first visit I had the Rockport omelet I think was the name. It was full of lobster and covered in hollandaise sauce. It was very good. Nice servers. Good coffee. My second visit I had to go back for the owners famous lobster BLT that starred in Bobby Flays "Throwdown". It was huge and packed with lbs of lobster!... More

The breakfast here is hands down some of the best around, we all had omelette's and they were amazing. We'll be back for sure

Maybe I should wait until a second try for lunch but I have a feeling we might not go back for some time. We've eaten at the Brass Compass many times, last summer & fall, this past June….and sandwiches and soup were always great. It was our favorite place in fact for casual meals. Having just returned to Rockland we... More

Have been eating here for many years. The latest remodel is clean and uninteresting. Most importantly the famous lobster roll seems to have declined in quality. That is my opinion.

This place was recommended by the tour guide on the Maine Eastern train we took from Brunswick to Rockland (I also recommend this vintage relaxing and slow yet scenic train trip). The waitress recommended we split the Food Network award winning lobster club sandwich and get our own choice of sides. She was right! Sandwich had lots of yummy lobster... More

Stopped by with my wife and 10month. Ordered a beer and the famous Lobster Club with potato salad. It was delicious!! A must have. The staff was great, super friendly. Waitresses were super helpful, provided some little snacks for the hungry baby. (No charge). Took time to explain menu items. The pies are all homemade by the owner, all looked... More

Have to admit we got sucked in by the fact that the owner won the Bobby Flay Throw Down. Nothing amazing here. The atmosphere is dated and the food was average. The blueberry pie was unexceptional, not worth the calories. Staff was friendly.

A great place for breakfast and lunch. Staff and owner are great, pleasant, and attentive. Have been twice for breakfast while traveling to Rockland and have enjoyed the "lobster clubs sandwich" at breakfast. Food is fresh and well prepared, portions are large so bring an appetite or split with someone. Nice Maine specialties. Great Job everyone!

I can't say enough except you won't be disappointed, even if you are, they will bend over back wards to make you happy and love what you got. The people that are sitting next to you are friendly as ever and are willing to tell you all about that town and what to do to enjoy it all even more.... More
