This is basically an ice-cream and pizza place, but the ambiance sets it apart. It has an "old town" look, with Tiffany lights and a rounded corner window, and at the same time something of a 1960s "hippie-era" vibe. There are, if I recall, just two tables, and both of them are set into the recesses against the windows, with... More

Ok, I'll admit it, I have not been able to get past the ice cream! Wow! Good stuff! Great flavors and good serving sizes. I have heard the pizza is really good... yes I will try it!

Today, i had a extremely long and difficult interview and wanted to treat myself afterwards. "Where will i go to eat"? i thought. I decided on Thorndike Creamery because i really like their ice cream. When i have had their pizza before i like the light taste of the New York style, but it was burnt, and a little chewy.... More

At lunch time we stumbled upon this cafe. The food was AWESOME! Definitely has a cool, contemporary feel.

We were visiting from out of town and stopped in for a quick lunch. The menu is small but interesting. We selected the Vege Thorndike pizza. It was excellent. The service was great too. We'll definitely return next time we're in town.

As a babysitter there is no better way to celebrate with the kids then to grab a slice of pie and a cone at the Thorndike. Only once have we experience bad service but when I told the manager they fixed it. Great food, great price!

Very good pizza, wraps and ice cream for decent prices. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. I definitely recommend stopping in for a quick bite.

Excellent service and fantastic food! Try the Italian Grinder sub or the Brie panini! The servers were very knowledgeable about their menu and convinced us to try some Gifford's ice cream (a local dairy farmer's ice cream). EXCELLENT ice cream! Chocolate Rainforest Crunch, Toasted Coconut, and te 72% Chocolate were our favorites!

Just wanted a cup of soup for lunch. A neat place with fantastic food and super friendly staff. Clam chowder was perfect, not loaded with potatoes and heavy cream. Light, tasty, hint of smoked bacon. Great food on a cloudy day. Others had the squash soup with roasted pumpkin seeds. They had the largest ice cream inventory I have seen... More

Stumbled in at lunch... Never been before and had little in terms of expectations, truthfully. Immediately warmly greeted by staff and specials were shared with us. Husband and I each ordered a cup of soup (he - tomato/basil and me - corn chowder) and a veggie quesadilla to share with a couple diet cokes. For a mere 17 dollars, we... More
