Everything about this shop- which is in a great location -screams dull. The welcome is unfriendly, the chilled counter unappetizing, the furniture uninviting, and seven bucks for a loaf of bread and a very ordinary small cheese bread roll? Once and never again. I can see why it was mostly empty.

Since I have a home in Rockland I visit quite often. My spouse is Gluten intolerant. If she eats gluten, her arms begin to ache within minutes which is something we need to avoid. ABC here in Rockland has AMAZING loaves of Gluten Free Sourdough Bread fresh baked. In addition, since I don't have the gluten problem, I usually pickup... More

This is a big bakery that also serves basic food. Great for a quick meal or snack while sightseeing or shopping in Rockland.

Very inviting spacious bakery and cafe. Had a cinnamon roll that was unbelievably good. Made with croissant dough. Nice selection of pastries and specialty breads. Didn't try the soup of the day but it looked good. Not much seating and when busy (I was there in a snowstorm), you might be a standee.

If you would like to buy an incorrectly priced lunch with some lukewarm soup, this is the place to go. Shame really, the possibilities were so good, with so much bread around.

We stopped on our way to the airport... homemade quiche and got some muffins for the flight. Fantastic quiche! Wonderful service and a great atmosphere. Even coffees, lattes and teas. Would recommend for sure.

Although we were just there for coffee and a pastry, we were blown away! What a wonderful array of sweets and artisan breads. The cappuccino was great. Very pleasant staff and a table by the window.

Stopped by for coffee and sweets and ended up taking bread and desserts home for dinner. The brownies with ginger were to die for and the "epi" bread was quite tasty. Service was a bit weird, I asked for skim milk and the cashier wasn't going to tell me they only had 2% but the barista did. Not a problem... More

Great Bread, great coffee, well worth a stop in while waiting for the ferry. The sandwiches are really nice. I love stopping in and always bring something over to my family on Vinalhaven.
