My companion and I were there at 6 pm on a Saturday night. There seemed to be more drinkers than eaters. They serve only beer and wine. My companion suggested an Aventinus beer and to my surprise I actually liked it. It seemed a little sweeter. I also ordered a Nacho appetizer. It was good, just not enough of it.... More

Love, love, LOVE hole-in-the-wall places...they seem to have more character, more interesting groups of people and this place delivered! Love the look & feel of this pub when my husband & I stopped on a sleepy Sunday afternoon. They had a good selection of beers on tap - though I got a kid-sized soda in the bottle (what, no glass... I have been to the Old Goat twice. The first time, the service and food were fantastic. The person waiting on us was prompt and courteous. Tonight, we had a waitress who didn't care that we waited nearly an hour for two pizzas. The waitress was not apologetic or in any hurry to serve us. The pizza (one white pizza,... More

Burnt pizza.............Rude owner. Don't give him anymore money. Other establishments deserve it. And I'm still alive and well much to your chagrin I bet Steve.

The best Panini sandwich "you've ever had in a restaurant" ? Answer: You bet, the best ! Creative by Scott's own design. The Old Goat been a favorite of mine since its inception. FIRST of all this is not a Pizza Place! This is a Pub which offers great pizza on its menu, as well as the famous Panini. Great... More

We visited the Old Goat with two other couples on a Friday evening. This pub (in the truest sense of the word) was packed. The crowd naturally had an impact on the speed of service but our drink order was taken quickly and beverages soon arrived. The menu offered various pizza, paninis and salads. The pizza here is absolutely delicious... More

I wouldn't suggest or recommend this place to my worst enemy. It give goats a bad name. If you're reading this do yourself a favor and stay away! They have the worst attitude I have ever encountered. It was like we were bothering them. Glad we walked out out before ordering!

So sure, the pizza is good here and of course the beer is always going to taste good... but... the nachos are terrible! The sandwiches are ok, cut the roof of my mouth but they tasted good. It's a bar and it has bar food. Great place though. Best thing in a small town, or I should say only thing... More

We were visiting our son and daughter-in-law in Maine last weekend. They suggested that we have lunch at the Old Goat. I went on-line to look at the menu and what they offered. I was concerned because the reviewers talked about was the bartender who was nasty. Very little was said about the food. I have over 30 years experience... More
