Traditional Fine Dining in Portland

Twenty Milk Street is a small, quiet, very traditional (but not stuffy) restaurant, much different than the more inventive "food scene" restaurants in Portland. So if a quiet, club like atmosphere with good service and a traditional menu is what you're in the mood for on a given night, you will... read more

My wife and I decided to take in an early dinner at 20 Milk Street on a Saturday night. We had actually entertained the idea of this restaurant as our Wedding Reception Dinner location the year before. We ultimately decided on something closer to home. We arrived at 20 Milk Street early at 5:30 PM which, being still light outside,... More

We treat ourselves to dinner here several times a year. Tonight was not their best presentation. When the hostess seated us my wife told her that she was cold and could we sit by the fireplace. The hostess said no " we are full tonight" . The tables by the fireplace remained empty the whole time we were in the... More

The Regency Hotel is a favorite of ours - we live right in town but spend at least one night a year for a romantic, fun and easy get away. The hotel, the Armory Lounge and Twenty Milk Street for dinner are all wonderful, but sunday brunch is something very special. They create a lovely, relaxed atmosphere with outstanding food... More

My husband and I have been going to this restaurant for a number of years and the best thing about it is the ambiance. However, we made a reservation 2 weeks prior to the Christmas concert and when we arrived, the hostess had us wait to be seated said "we are not quite ready" , she seated people ahead of... More

Multiple dinners here during our stay at this Regency Hotel restaurant. Food choices were great, wonderfully prepared and presented by warm, responsive staff. Loved it!

My family stayed in the adjacent hotel and had breakfast at 20 Milk Street. Everything was fresh and delicious. Although it was not a prix fixe, the individual items were very reasonably priced. The ambiance, even in the morning was elegant and the service was great.

This restaurant is in The Regency Hotel which has a lot of historical character. There is a fireplace in the restaurant which makes for a cozy setting in the winter. The food is very good and reasonably priced for lunch. The French Onion Soup and the Falafel Sandwich was delicious. Some of the best "fat" french fries I've ever had.... More

Nice setting in historic hotel beside fireplace with view of courtyard as requested. Good start with excellent lobster stew with chunks of lobster meat. Broiled sole entree was somewhat disappointing, but homemade ice cream desert completed meal.
