Homemade Goodness!

All homemade ice cream, sorbets and sherberts. Fast friendly service. Typical ice cream store with basic seating. Prices were very reasonable.

Walk into this ice cream parlor and decided to go in since everything around us was eating ice cream. The line was a little long but it moved fast. We decided on the orange pineapple and pistachios. The portions are really big for the price. They also tasted good.

Ordered strawberry with chocolate sprinkles. Sounds simple. To start the sprinkles were crunchy, gross. After removing excess sprinkles we tasted the ice cream. It was flavorless. Tasted like cold sugar. Threw it away after two bites. Not good at all. Didn't taste any other flavors, can't speak for those but very disappointed in the strawberry.

Had to snag some ice cream while wandering around Old Port on a gorgeous hot day. The staff was nice and there are plenty of options for anyone's sweet tooth. I had the chocolate peanut butter cup in a dish with hot fudge and peanut butter. Yum!

When in Maine my kids always ask for Beal's. All the ice cream is so delicious. They also have tons of interesting/unique flavors. My husband loves their milk shakes! Can't wait to go again soon!

We love Beal's...soft serve and hard ice cream...sundaes, ice cream sodas, shakes...tons of flavors, including quite a few sugar-free options (we have two diabetics in the family). Funny, friendly, and efficient servers...Yes, its a seasonal business and we love seeing their open sign from Washington Avenue in the early spring. They have limited parking in their lot, but you can... More

After going here with our friends family on vacation, we weren't by rude and obnoxious staff. Had to pay cash as they do t accept credit cards( hello tax evasion) . After spending $40 on 4 kiddie cones and 4 small ice creams ( which were nothing to rave over) , our friends 2 year old potty training Don needed... More

The date above is incorrect since I moved from Maine in 2012, but Beals is the BEST ice cream in Maine....it has various locations in the Portland area and is locally made...can't be beat!

I can’t go to any new city without getting some dessert. And, I do love ice cream, so, no better treat to get in the summer. I headed over to Beals Ice Cream in Portland, ME. Beals uses their own exclusive ice cream base to make their many ice cream flavors, in addition to producing specialty products including frozen yogurt,... More

Was attracted to this place because of the crowd and indulge in a large serve of maple with walnuts. Not disappointed.
