Some of the best wraps you will ever eat can be found at Market Street. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside it is warm, welcoming, and eclectically decorated. People of all ages pack this place for lunch and you will leave happy and satisfied. There is always a daily special, but anything you try will be... More

First visit - this was a cruise stop for me - As I looked a the menu, I was leaning toward the Tuna Kamakazi, and I asked the counter worker what was HIS favorite thing to eat here....when he said Tuna Kamakazi, that sealed the deal. This was a wrap served warm with tuna, avocado, pickles, etc. and it was... More

We were in the Old Port and looking for a restaurant with quick service and inexpensive food, but that was better than fast food. Specifically, I was hoping for a place that had some sandwiches with more interesting ingredients than you would find at, say, your local Subway. We stumbled across Market Street Eats and it was PERFECT. They had... More

My GF and I try and get to Market Street Eats most time when we are roaming around Portland and it never disappoints. We both had the Red Rooster which is a toasted chicken wrap with Spicy Thai mayo and I also had a spicy thai potato salad on the side. The wraps were excellent as was the service. I... More

Market St. Eats is a great find on a quieter street in the busy Old Port. Sandwiches are $7-9. A great place to duck in, to get away from the cruise crowd. Real locals eating here. Decor is a cross between a 1950's drive in and a old fashioned pop shop. Something on every wall to catch your eye. I... More

We used our living social deals to cover our meals today. I had the Red Rooster (Grilled chicken, bacon, provolone, spicy Thai mayo, red onion, and pickles). Bill had the Avo Melt (even tho he wanted to order the Turkey Avo Melt). Both sandwiches were DELICIOUS! I could only eat half, but Bill managed to eat the whole thing. It... More

Good food even greater people watching. Be sure to check out the great cheese shop. We love the sandwiches from Big Sky.

I stumbled across Eats as it's right next to the Regency Hotel. I really like the relaxed diner atmosphere and excellent fresh food from a quality (not quantity) short menu. The guys running the place care about you and your food. Relaxed, informal joint that'll become my regular breakfast venue when in Portland.

This is my favorite place to eat lunch when in Portland. The owner is in the shop making sandwiches. He remembers my name and favorite selection, and appears to do that with many regulars. The choices are varied and interested, and always prepared fresh. Try the Red Rooster with pickles.

Yes, go in and go up the steps it is better than it looks from the outside. Go has great breakfast and outstanding lunches. Ask staff to explain the specials and the menu posted on the board. Ask for Colin the proprietor and tell him what you like on your sandwich.
