This local gem is not to be missed. Frequent menu changes reflect the locally sourced food; still the core menu items are always variable. Nice wine selection, along with some bottled beers. Varied appetizers, and salad selections. My wife and have never had a better chicken Marsala. The service was excellent, and the value was outstanding. Reservations, and parking is... More

We had a generally enjoyable meal at Caiola's. The room is comfortable and is buzzing with activity -- it feels like a real haven for locals, and the environment is the strongest positive about the place. The food is pretty good, but none of our dishes (and we had several) was excellent. Unfortunately, one of the servers spilled most of... More

First let me get this out of the way. After several people here gave them low ratings for having to walk through the kitchen to the back dining area, they no longer do that unless " the snow outside is too deep". As I told our waitress I walk through my kitchen all the time! We would return for dinner... More

Recommended by friends, this little gem knows how to do food as well - or better - than the restaurants we frequent at home in San Francisco. That's one, big W-O-W! Quality ingredients, inventively prepared and presented, fine, casual but attentive service, creative cocktails and a good little wine list - after the meal, we looked at each other and... More

We had the privilege of eating at Caiola's last week. This small Italian restaurant was recommended to us by friends (who, like us, were visiting from out of state) and it did not disappoint. My husband had the paella and declared -- when every last bite was eaten -- that it was the best paella he'd ever eaten and that... More

I really enjoyed my quick closing time meal. Cheese board and sausage pasta were both great. Saved as a favorite! I'll be back!

It's not often you walk around the corner to as malt and alone house that has an equally small restaurant with wonderful Sunday brunch but that is caiola's. The eggs are farm fresh and served in all the usual brunch fashions, e.g. Benedict, omelette , etc with local bacon and susage. Man sized mimosas and superior summer sangria make this... More

This is a neighborhood place near Longfellow Square. Very small, noisy, menu varies day by day but everything is fresh, Italian plus trendy preparation. Outstanding.

food was really good and the service was good. It is a little gem in a neighborhood area. Make reservations as it is small.

Very intimate. Sauces display the talent of a superb chef. I tasted my wife's entre of Chicken Marsala with a side of rigatoni and thought it was the best. The Marsala sauce was so rich and flavorful and the sauce on the rigatoni was superb. The quality of the San Marzano tomatoes really came through. I enjoyed my sea food... More
