Four of us went last night…outdoor seating on their pretty back patio seemed like a good idea…but our table was right in front of the AC system which blows both hot and cold, so they kindly we moved us inside to a nice corner table….the wine was excellent…I had the true french delicious rose…. the others had excellent pinot noir... Had dinner here while staying at a nearby B&B. Great food, nice ambiance, helpful and pleasant staff.

We ate here after looking it up on Trip Advisor. Very nice small place specializing in Italian and American fare. Decent wine selection but wine knowledge was sketchy. We had the polenta fried for an appetizer which was really good. The best salad and the garden salads were amazing. The Zuppa was pretty good but had some shell chips in... More

My daughter and I walked to this suggested bistro from the waterfront and were pleased that we had arrived negative a few calories from the walk. Lively little place is obviously a favourite of the locals as many of the packed house were regulars. Rustic atmosphere is complimentary to the bustle of staff tending tables and delivering authentic plates with... More

My husband and I were able to walk to this restaurant from a nearby Inn, which was a huge plus. I had the fresh halibut, which was excellent and my husband had a pasta dish that was good. Overall the food was very enjoyable. The service was spotty. They did not seem to have enough staff on hand for the... More

My husband and I enjoyed a very nice dinner after arriving in Portland. He had mussels which were large and delicious. I had the halibut and it was very good and cooked perfectly. He had the salmon which was also excellent. We shared an innovative dessert of tahini cake and fennel sorbet.

My husband and I live part time in Portland, and had guests visiting from Washington, DC. Our guests look forward to meals which are thoughtfully prepared and well presented using fresh local produce. My husband and I had been to Caiola's years ago but only for brunch, so decided to give it a try, based on other reviews and a... More

Quaint little place. I saw some good reviews and like what I saw on the sample menus on their website, so figured we should try it. Very glad that we did. Before I mention anything else, I need to state that I tried one of the very best appetizers that I've had in my entire life here Caiola's. Hands down... More

This is an appropriately busy (reservations are helpful in the summer), well-managed, and friendly restaurant, The waitstaff are attentive and knowledgeable. The six of us were mostly drinking water on a warm evening, and our glasses were constantly being refilled. The food is great, and save room for the tasty desserts.
