Great meal, highly recommended. Short walk from the seaport area. Restaurant is very small, particularly given how popular it is. We came by for dinner shortly before the official closing time and had a great meal, but at more conventional times it is crowded. As the name implies this is not a low calorie choice.

Had an excellent lunch at Duckfat. Had to wait a bit for a table, but once seated, a great meal. Frites in Duckfat with garlic mayo was fabulous. So were our other selections which included a magnificent pork belly and smoked pork shoulder. Eclectic menu that is perfectly prepared. Don't miss it!

I see why it's popular - the drinks and menu look amazing, and there was a wait at least an hour long (It took 30 minutes to get our takeout.). The fries are fantastic, and I enjoyed the duck confit panini, The brown paper it was wrapped in was see-through by the time we got to the Eastern Promenade. But... More

Came here for lunch on a Saturday in August. Wait was projected as an hour and a half. They do not take reservations ahead of time. We then placed a phone order outside the restaurant and ate our lunch at the Eastern Promenade, which I would recommended. Fries were overrated, not all that delicious. Decent duck sandwich complemented by a... More

We got to Duckfat shorty after it opened for lunch. It was already crowded, but we got seats right away. The duck confit and pork belly paninis were good, duck was better, and we got a large fry with Thai chili mayo at the servers recommendation. Yes, the fries were pretty good, but they are still just fries. By the... More

Get here early if you're traveling with kids, dinner is more of an adult scene. That being said, menu is great, sandwiches are delicious and I'd go well out of my way for the duck fat fries.

The fries with the specialty mayonnaise is amazing. The menu is mostly sandwiches, so not my choice for dinner. The sandwiches were greasy without a lot of flavor.

We waited an hour which was no big deal, kind of thought we would. Food was good. Had both soups, both very good. French fries slightly salty and we had both choices the very small amt.of gravy. The milkshake was a milkshake not worth the 7.50 but for 5.00 in Portland it would have been acceptable. 3 different sandwiches all... More

There was a long line so we ordered take out and sat across the street in the grassy area which was fun to do. We ordered the pork belly panini , the BGT and the smoked turkey panini. All were very good like nothing I ever tasted . We also had the strawberry milkshake which is good but heavy. The... More

I've been to Duckfat a handful of times, it's always so delish. Sometimes a bit cramped with the bench seating when it's busy but overall cozy. I go for the BGT, I could eat goat cheese and bacon all day, and usually split some Belgium fries. If I still have room for something sweet, their original milkshake is a party... More
