It was very good, excellent in fact. We were more then impressed. Instead of waiting an hour an a half at 3pm, we elected for the take out and eat outside. Much better option, they pack the togo food very well and everything was hot, or cold - milkshake. I would highly recommend and would definitely eat there again.

I really appreciate what they are doing with this restaurant, great ambiance, fresh quality food, etc but I wasn't overly impressed. But perhaps it was just what we ordered. My fiance and I showed up tired and hungry, so after a 30 minute wait to be seated, we ordered rather quickly off the menu. We shared a large poutine, a... More

Of course the Belgian fries and dipping sauces are excellent, even if you don't usually eat fries. What impressed me most were the exceptionally delicious soups. We had the parsnip soup and the tomato soup, and both were prepared to perfection, interesting and complex. What goes with a great bowl a soup? A great panini, of course. The panini sandwiches... This was a highly anticipated meal as I had wanted to eat at Duck Fat since I moved to Maine. The reviews and hype lived up to my expectations and I can't wait to return. I actually loved that the menu was small as it meant I wasn't overwhelmed-my husband ordered House Cured Ham and Cheese on Rye and I... More

I'm not a big fan of french fries, but because I'd heard so much about them at Duck Fat, I had to give them a try here. Thank goodness I did. They come with an amazing selection of dips and are really wonderful. Now I can't remember what else we ate, only that it was quite delicious. The place is... More

We've been to Duckfat a couple of times, and have yet to be disappointed. The atmosphere is busy, busy, busy, and the food is great. It's not a gourmet setting, and the place is usually busy, but it's fun food and very good. Get the fries!

I enjoyed my first visit. The food was good. The fries were tasty, but very small. I mean the individual fries were about the length of my thumb nail. Must have got the bottom of the batch? I then had the meatloaf panini. It was good, but a little salty. The atmosphere was cool. The kitchen is the size of... More

All the right elements are there...however duck fat fell short of the hype. Everything was good but not great. While we appreciated all the hard work and consideration that goes into everything from the spreads and chutney to the slaws and pickled yummies - we were to our surprise disappointed. All these wonderful elements were missing that next level, pizzazz,... More

I own a restaurant and I know how hard it is to keep things consistent. This place is AWESOME! The staff is super friendly and obviously like working together. I already had dreams about the fries with an egg on top and duck gravy oh my god! This is definitely my new favorite when in Portland.

I read about this place on the internet and it sounded really good and they delivered, now I only had the fries and lentil soup but they were both delicious and this place is worthy of a visit. This location is very small as were most of the locations in Portland but again the fries alone make it worth it
