Oh my yum

Been here for lunch and for breakfast. I would absolutely go back every single time I set foot in Portland. The food is delicious.

A friend told us to call ahead for sandwiches for our 10 am Peak Island Ferry excursion. We reversed the order and did Peak Island first and then stopped in for take out from Duck Fat. It was packed at 11:45 am on a Friday. People were spilling out onto the sidewalk. The hostess was friendly and we ordered our... More

Hands down one of our favorite stops while visiting Portland. I had the turkey panini which sounds basic but they somehow made amazing and my husband had the crab melt (good but not as good). Definitely ordered the duck fat fries. OH MY GOODNESS! So yummy and even came with two fantastic dipping sauces- truffle ketchup I mean come on!... More

We have been here quite a few times and it is always a treat! First, poutine with duck confit & a duck egg can't be beat! (With a little truffle catsup on the side) The panini are delicious and creative. Charcuterie - yummy. Save room for a shake!

This has become a Portland right of passage for foodie tourists, as you will probably already be aware if you are reading this review. They have been written up in nearly every foodie magazine, been on umpteen shows, news programs etc, and their food lives up to the hype. Do NOT leave this restaurant (IF you can get in the... More

This is an off-beat very interesting small place with darn good food. Sure it's busy but that means it must be good. Nice drinksks. Everybody looks happy. Busy all day and lots of action here enjoying dinner and lunch. I live in town and I like the place

Great unique sandwiches, delicious duck fat fried fries, and fantastic milkshakes! We are also fans of the pouting made with locally sourced pine land farms cheese curds. It's small and can get crowded but it's worth the wait!

A different approach to food. From the fries cooked in duck fat, to the buttermilk in the milk shakes. Healthy and delicious paninis, all while sitting outside enjoying the fresh air. Be prepared to wait, as this restaurant is very popular for lunch. We waited about 20 minutes and then were seated and enjoyed the overall atmosphere of Duckfat. The... More

Very little seating, no reservations, and delicious food means a considerable wait. But the wait is worth it! The food was extraordinary. Everything surpassed expectations and we had high expectations to start. Even the donuts made with duckfat were superb. My only critique is that the seating is tight, and we were outside on a tiny bench/table shared with other... More

Great atmosphere. Great milk shakes, great fries. However the sandwich I had was a bit too dry for my liking. I got the house smoked brisket. The fries are comparable to nosh. In fact I like the bacon dusted ones at Nosh a bit better. The staff was friendly enough, and the wait was not too bad. They have a... More
