Yummy, but uncomfortable

Good fries. Both the horseradish and garlic aolis were good. The caprese panino was very good, if the pesto wasn't as predominant as I would have liked. Hubby's orange crush soda was really good. My root (sarsaparilla, mint, birch...) soda was interesting, but I wouldn't get it again. The bathrooms... read more

From the chalkboard walls with magnetic words to the casual but unique atmosphere, Duckfat is the place to be. The poutine is one of my favorites and I never skip it. I've tried a fair amount of sandwiches and dishes on the menu and have never been disappointed. Definitely one of my favorite places in Portland!

This is why Portland is so hot right now. Amazing food and great selection of drinks. I had the shishito peppers with sea salt and they were fabulous. Then moved onto the Belgian Fries that were fried in duck fat and our main course was the pulled pork panini, which has soo much flavor. The wrap up was with a... More

Being from a large city, I'm used to waiting at places that don't take reservations. That being said, this is the first place I've been to where they take your cell phone number, text you with a link that gives you menu and an opportunity to view how many parties are in front you you. On our visit, the hostess... More

After seeing this restaurant on several food shows, I had to see this place. As most restaurants in Portland it is very smsll, but we were there around 11:30 and was seated at the bar. That was perfect because we were just there to try the famous fries. Wonderful! They give you different dipping sauces for 75 cents more, but... More

We eat here regularly for lunch. The food is always amazing and the staff is wonderful. We are always greeted with a smile and made to feel welcome. If we call our order in ahead of time it is usually always ready, the only time we have to wait is when we order fries because they drop them when we... More

We were recommended this place from a friend that grew up in Maine. Boy, are we glad we dined there! We had lunch and EVERYTHING was awesome! The beet salad, which was a special, was pretty darn special. I would recommend it gets added to regular menu, even if just for the summer! The meatloaf sandwich is not what we... More

I love fries. In fact, while eating a great plate of fries, I often say, "When I get to heaven, I'm going to ask God how many fries I ate in my lifetime. I'm also going to ask how much faster I reached heaven because of those fries." The fries at Duckfat likely put me a week or so closer... More

The fries of course are delicious, but try the salted carmel shake. YUMMMMM! Super long wait on a weekend night, but you can put your name in, stop somewhere else for a drink, and they'll call you.

What an experience! We stopped in for a late lunch on a Saturday afternoon. We tried the fries with three yummy dipping sauces, duckfat fried brussel sprouts and delicious milkshakes! Out of this world! Can't wait to come back!
