Known for their fries, the sandwiches and salads turned out to be excellent as well. Their fries are easily some of the best fries you could have on this side of the Atlantic, surprisingly the rest of their menu is also very good and creative for a small sandwich shop. The space is small but seating arrangement is smart and... More

The charcuterie board was outstanding; the poutine excellent; overall delicious for our much anticipated, often delayed visit. The fries cooked in duckfat were really good, but somehow I wasn't "wowed" by them.....simply very good fries. All of the other food choices by our group outshone.

The food at Duck Fat is terrific. The poutine was delicious; it's hard to imagine it would be any better in Canada. And the sandwich with pork belly was out of this world. However, the dining room is very, very small. After waiting for 45 minutes or so, we were seated at the bar, and that was less than ideal.... More

First day for lunch...Shut out - 45 minute wait. Second day..30 min and we made it. Very small place. More conducive for lunch IMHO. Fries were as good as advertised. Sandwiches were first rate and reasonable for what you get. Loved their meat loaf. Very different. Try the cherry soda. Large fries is large! Maybe a large fry and share... More

So, we did a bad thing. We came here hardly hungry (because we were trying to fit in two highly talked about Portland restaurants in the span of almost 4 hours), and stuffed ourselves silly. Everything was so sinfully good! We started with the poutine, with the fried egg, because, why not?! Then we spilt vegetable salad, filled with greens,... More

Went here after reading a few different articles on the restaurant. Don't see what the fuss is all about. Of course we went for the fries. I think we got the scraps. We probably had 4-5 normal sized fries in the whole basket, the rest were about an inch long. Nothing special about them either. I've had better handcut fries... More

We had to wait over an hour for a table at this small, popular restaurant but since I am a french fry fanatic, I had to try these crispy slices of heaven. They were worth the wait but the truffle ketchup was something I will dream about. So delicious! Everyone raves about the milkshakes and we found them to be... More

Casual dining with attention paid to the details. Very good quality food and of course you have to get the fries - because that's why anyone goes, at least their first visit.

Took my kids for a quick bite. Had the fries and shakes- both were very good. Also tried the cherry soda which my kids liked- new for them. Staff was friendly and receptive and did not rush us even though they were busy.

Great concept w/ the duck fat in their dishes. Fries are unusual -- hubby really liked them; me not so much. Truffle ketchup was delicious, as was the salted caramel milkshake. Duck confit panini was yummy & almost too rich to eat. Best poutines we've had. Great service!
