Went here after reading a few different articles on the restaurant. Don't see what the fuss is all about. Of course we went for the fries. I think we got the scraps. We probably had 4-5 normal sized fries in the whole basket, the rest were about an inch long. Nothing special about them either. I've had better handcut fries... More

We had to wait over an hour for a table at this small, popular restaurant but since I am a french fry fanatic, I had to try these crispy slices of heaven. They were worth the wait but the truffle ketchup was something I will dream about. So delicious! Everyone raves about the milkshakes and we found them to be... More

Casual dining with attention paid to the details. Very good quality food and of course you have to get the fries - because that's why anyone goes, at least their first visit.

Took my kids for a quick bite. Had the fries and shakes- both were very good. Also tried the cherry soda which my kids liked- new for them. Staff was friendly and receptive and did not rush us even though they were busy.

Great concept w/ the duck fat in their dishes. Fries are unusual -- hubby really liked them; me not so much. Truffle ketchup was delicious, as was the salted caramel milkshake. Duck confit panini was yummy & almost too rich to eat. Best poutines we've had. Great service!

Well worth the wait! We would come back to Portland just to eat here again! The truffle ketchup was amazing with the fries but my most favorite part of our meal was the donut holes I still drool when I think about them!

I have been to Duckfat numerous times in the last several years. From the beginning, it has been almost always great. There have been a couple of disappoinments over the years, most notably this spring when I tried to go for lunch. Granted, Saturday on Easter Weekend at lunchtime is probably not the BEST time to go, but after being... More

Reading all the hype about Duckfat I expected more. The vibe was exciting for a restaurant. Staff was very good, professional. The fries were good but I've had better, possibly an 8 out of 10. The pannini was just ok, I thought it was boardy - possibly a combination of the bread and time in the pannini press. Overall I... More

On our trip to Portland, we decided to hit as many "foodie" places we could. This is one of them. So, so good. French fries cooked in duck fat, paninis made with duck confit great beers on draft. It was crowded when we arrived, but found a place to sit inside. Service was fast.

Prior to our visit, we had heard that Duckfat gets very busy and waits can be long. Keeping this in mind, we went right when they opened at 11 for lunch. Right after we sat down, the floodgates slowly opened, and by the time we left they were full. We walked by about an hour later and they appeared to... More
