My husband and I recently stopped in here for lunch. The place is very busy. The menu is very casual with apps, sandwiches, burgers, etc. We opted to share a few apps. The food was average and reasonably priced. The service was pretty good considering how busy it was.

Typical bar scene in Portland Maine. The IPA beer was really good. Typical bar fare. The place was packed, and it took about 10 minutes to get a table... We lucked out and snagged one right by the bar. Service took a little bit, but again it was packed - so it was expected. The salsa with the chips app... More

This pub is super casual. Basically you sit wherever you want/is available. The staff was very friendly and our waitress was a saint for putting up with our drunkenness. Anyways, I forget what I ordered for beer but I ate the fried pickles and the pub steak panini! Both were delicious and filling! Everyone else enjoyed their meals! We had... More

My family and I ate lunch at Gritty's in December and really enjoyed it. It was a cold day, so coming in out of the cold after walking around Old Port and warming up with a pint was great. While I know that the place is considered touristy, it has a great view of the harbor . I love the... More

Waitress was very friendly. We told her we were from out of state, and she immediatley wiped down the table and explained to us their menu. She suggested some beers/wines and gave us samples to help decide. Food was pretty good. We had the Shepard's Pie and a Turkey Burger with Sweet Potato fries. Everything tasted good. Nothing super special,... More

Only having visited the Freeport location, this was my first time here at this location. Definitely more like a bar/pub setting sitting in Old Port. Very friendly accommodating staff and a pretty roomy place. Typical selection of homemade beers which are pretty good. Menu is bar food with other creations and sandwiches. Mac and cheese with Kielbasa was absolutely delicious... More

Okay, I get to London now and then. After one sip my friend made a face that said what I was thinking. On the positive side, some of the food was okay. But 6 of us ordered meals, and two were just in shambles.

My husband, our friends and I stopped in here for a late lunch. Ordered a couple pitchers and some light bites. We shared the buffalo tenders and friend mushrooms, then I had a cup of the chili with cornbread. All the food was so delicious. We were happily full by the end, sitting at the end of one of the...
