Good as always

I hadn't been to Walters since it had moved from Exchange Street but was was pleased to find that although the atmosphere is much different, the food was as good as ever. The price range of most entrees was between $25-$35 and the portions were just right. We had 2 different salads and 2... read more

Best place in Portland for a business lunch. Eclectic menu that will meet everyone's taste. Service is excellent! Every item on menu is great. Lunch specials always sell out quick. A favorite for over 10 yrs. No disappoints ever.

While this restaurant is on the first floor of an office building, don't let that deter you from what's inside. The interior has been treated to make you feel cozy and warm. The service staff (Matt) was great and attentive to our table throughout our visit. Lobster mac & cheese, garlic truffle fries, pan seared ahi tuna and petite filets... More

We only go here with out of state friends who foot the bill. It's NEVER worth it. The only thing I really do like is the dim lighting --- I look younger. There is NOTHING for a vegetarian. I know that going in, and yet each time I try something it's always a disappointment. Example -- hand cut fries. Sounds... More

Walter's is famous around here and we were looking forward to our first visit. We had reservations and still were seated in a dark corner while the nice tables remained empty even when we exited after completing our meal. If the goal of Restaurant Week is to hook first-time diners so they come back, well that didn't happen. Three course... More

Portland has its share amazing restaurants run by hip young chefs, some a little uncomfortable in their chicness, but this is a grown-up professional environment for business people and others who value not only an outstanding menu but a quiet and comfortable environment in which to sit and talk.

We stumbled across this amazing restaurant whilst shopping and walking around the city. We are glad we did, and can't wait to go back there for dinner . Very pleasing restaurant decor, great ambience and service. The menu is good and the food delicious. Well presented,

Was very disappointed in my main... The lamb loin was cold and had to go back! The eggplant fries were great! The mussels were delicious. Glad I dined here once.... Would not return .

Great place to dine with friends as you can relax, talk and hear one another. The atmosphere is pleasant, service impeccable, the food is very good. Portions of entrees are a little on the smallish side for the price. I had the Forbidden shrimp. I would eat there again but have an appetizer beforehand.

Another amazing Portland restaurant! Had a wonderful lunch there sitting at the bar chatting with the bartender. Crab cakes with corn pudding and green peppercorn remoulade, Japanese Caesar salad with miso wasabi dressing, smashed edamame and cashews. And the best fried oyster appetizer I have had in years! If any of this sounds good, check out their menu then go... More
