Great coffee, and a break for the big name coffee shops. God selection of quick bagels, cookies, muffins. Small, but clean and friendly.

Back on Congress Street in the Arts District we dropped into this place; the flagship of several other Coffee By Design branches. The tiny and cluttered space offers several places to sit, coffee paraphernalia, even an extensive range of beans they roast themselves. If I can make comparisons, the macchiato at Speckled Ax was far more superior than the one... More

Located right around the corner from the Residence Inn. Had multiple coffee options including decaf and five different iced coffee blends. Muffins and donuts were good and the coffee was very smooth. Enjoyed the coffee and atmosphere more than Crema, another shop located close to the hotel.

A small local place that did a terrific skinny latte. The locals appeared to frequent it. Nice change from the chain coffee shops.

Visited the new shop and warehouse. It's very cool! Sleek and modern decor, great coffee and tea and local baked goods. Met my friends and just relaxed. The place let's you observe the coffee roasting and packing operation, too. Interesting.

Cold brew was the best. I make it every day at home, so happy to find it while traveling. My husband also thoroughly enjoyed his iced Americano. Great spot!

It's a long narrow shop with some comfy chairs but mostly hard chairs and tables. Local artwork for sale. Free books. Pastries. Local chain. Didn't disappoint, but I have another I like better in Portland.

I agree there are many fine coffee shops in Portland. My husband is an espresso snob and their's was the first that gained his approval. I so appreciated a REAL chai tea latte that wasn't made with spicy flavored syrup. I added my own honey to sweeten it to my taste. Would definitely return. It's a great place to enjoy... More

A nice coffee spot with friendly service, excellent coffee, and quite a few tables for relaxing. Both iced and hot coffees were terrific. Definitely worth a stop if you are in the area and craving coffee.

First time in any new city, my quest is to fine the best cup of coffee. This was okay, but only okay. There was a nice vibe, however, and the retail selection was interesting.
