The Portland Lobster Company serves the best lobster in town. I treated a relative to lunch and enjoyed a cold glass of Cupcake Chardonnay with my meal. The waitstaff were wonderful and the overall atmosphere was pleasant.

After picking up my son from the Appalachian Trail we took a day to explore Maine....Just a bit. We went to the docks in Portland. We stumbled onto Portland Lobster Co. They have a wonderful variety of seafood and what we ordered was cooked to perfection. Good flavor.

I have been tardy in posting many of the Lobster Pounds that we enjoyed eating at on our Summer 2013 trip... but this one was one that stood out! It sits on a long wharf in downtown Portland, Maine, one of the prettiest little towns along that stretch of Atlantic USA. The shops and attractions along the wide streets allow... More

This is an overall perfect place to get a meal in Portland. You are down by the docks, with seagulls, boats, and the smell of salt air all around with great food and local beer to wash it down. We were able to get lunch here on a chilly, but beautifully sunny day; great whether in my book for seafood... More

Classic seafood shack on the waterfront (180 Commercial St). You order your food inside then go out on the dock to the pick-up window. Large outdoor seating area with a bar, partially enclosed for the cooler fall weather. Enjoyed probably the best clam chowder of my trip. Others had the lobster rolls and some of the other items and no... More

After seeing a episode of Tavel Channel's Man VS Food showing this place; I haved dreamed to come and gift it a try. We absolutely will remember it as a great memory. Finding was no problem. Once you walk down along the port you will see it. The size of the place is quite deceiving. Take time to walk back... More

We went the last night they were open for the season, so I would enjoy going back during the summer. The food was very good, and it's a quaint place.
