Great food on an interesting patio.

A bit offbeat as you order at the counter and then wait on the large patio for your name to be called. Great food and picnic table ambiance. Expect a bit of a wait on a busy day, but worth the wait. And, great people watching.

Casual outdoor dining on the wharf with all the best local seafood. I shared twin lobsters with my daughter and fried full bodied clams, with chowder loaded with clams. If you are looking for a great Portland dining out experience on the water, surrounded by locals and great live local bands. this is the summer place to be on a... More

In the middle of the somewhat touristy downtown Portland seafront is this Lobster shack which is not cheap but worth every dime! The lobster rolls are just top of the tops, the fries are nothing to complain about as are the steamed lobsters. Good beer selection, the wines, which are served in plastic cups, are less recommendable. We liked it... More

Awesome little place right on the water. Probably the best lobster rolls around. Tried several different dishes. Everything ordered was enjoyed, from fried to baked. This is a must stop and eat place. The staff was very nice and helpful. They also serve local beer.

The Portland Lobster Company was suggested by a friend. We visited in the evening and sat in an outside area with heaters. We ordered lobster rolls and shrimp, both were delicious! It's very casual, order inside then they call you when your order is ready. I had several lobster rolls on this trip but this was the best!

I was on a cruise of the east coast of USA and Canada and had a little project of trying a lobster roll in each port. Portland lobster company was easily the best! Juicy abundant lobster on a nice bap with chips (fries) and coleslaw. If you love lobster then this is the place to go!

The lobster rolls were fresh, the fish was done perfectly and the cold slaw was very good. We sat at picnic tables outside in the heated tent area which allowed us to enjoy the water even though the weather was a bit chilly.

This is one of many places that buy fresh lobster everyday from the guys out doing the dirty work. We had plenty of people recommend them and they are also located right on Commercial St. We ordered the lobster roll, clam chowda and a couple local beers. They have seating outside which I recommend if it's not raining. We had... More

Ate here with some friends. I had the Lobster Roll which was delicious, another had shrimp and the other one had a hamburger. All which was very good. We ate outside. It was a little chilly, but there are heaters outside. They had a good variety of foods.

After our Lucky Catch Cruise, we purchased a pair of lobsters for $13 on the boat. We paid roughly $20 more to have those lobsters cooked for us at Portland Lobster Company. The preparation includes a couple of side items as well. There is a nice waterfront patio to relax on, and a full bar outside with a great selection... More
