Portland Lobster Co. is our go to spot for good food, outside eating on the water, music, fun. Quick and easy, just go up to the bar place your order, get a plastic “lighted up” lobster find a table and enjoy. When it lobster lights up go up to a window and pick up your food, then police your table... More

Looking forward to my first lobster roll and it was a BIG let down. First off I was willing to pay for one, which set me back $18.99. It was a few lobster chunks on lettuce. No flavor, no dressing and no butter was offered. Husband got a hamburger which he said was okay. Oh yeah the coleslaw was just... More

Had the privilege of going on the Lucky Catch Lobster Boat Tour, and was able to purchase fresh lobster from them. Lucky Catch has a deal worked out with the Portland Lobster Company to cook your fresh lobster. It was very cheap compared to purchasing direct. The cost of cooking the lobster also included a bake potato or french fries,... More

We drove down from North Conway to Portland for the day, and stopped here for an early lunch. We ordered at the outside counter, and they gave us a lobster shaped pager to let us know when our order was ready. We sat at a table over looking the water, and sipping our drinks, for about 20 mins, then our... More

I brought my lobster from a lobster boat to have them cook it. I think the $10.99 to just cook my lobster was a little steep. The over head for throwing a lobster into a pot of boiling water isn't very high. It does come with coleslaw and an ear of corn, but even so the over head for that... More

The food was just ok, not worth the hassle to get it, the prices were not too bad, but the seating process was so convoluted that it ruined the experience. You order first as you come in, and you pay and get your cute lobster thing that will buzz when the food is ready. Then you have to see someone... More

This is a nice place to sit outside for the afternoon or evening, and enjoy some seafood with beer or wine (no mixed drinks). There is also inside dining, but I would rather enjoy the fresh air, and comfortable temperatures sitting dockside on the water. The average wait time on food is 30 minutes, but it passes quickly, there's so... More

We spent a rainy July 4th evening here for the first time at the end of our Bar Harbor vacation the night before we flew home. Very glad we did it...enjoyed the experience and our fresh lobster was great. We ate outside despite the rain and had a couple beers and really had no complaints. You don't get table service... More

This is what I would call a lobster shack. Nothing fancy about it but the service and food were good and that is the most important thing to me. I asked for a plain lobster roll (no mayo, etc.) and requested a baked potato instead of fries and nothing was a problem. Went outside to get a seat and sat... More

It was ok. the good is that its in the middle of the city on the water, so very easy to get to and not out of the way... But this was my second time there, and both times the wait was about an hour for a boiled lobster.... and it wasnt that good. I honestly didnt feel it was... More
