Only can recommend this restaurant. We had delicious fresh edamame, miso soup and sushi. Observing the cooks, friendly people.... We loved to have dinner there during our stay in Portland.

We can't get enough of Yosaku. We do eat here at least once a week. We like to sit at the sushi bar and watch the action of the five sushi chefs working on a busy evening. The menu is varied from sushi to tempura shrimp and chicken....grilled steak, salmon and wonderful noodle dishes. Kids love it here as well.... More

We are New Yorkers. This restaurant was perfection. Every bite was delicious. Presentation was lovely. Hot sake was served in lovely decanter and divine. Simple but perfect and appropriate decor. Staff was friendly, quick and courteous. We will definitely go back!'

There are many reasons Yosaku is our go-to restaurant when we dine out in Portland. We enjoy it just as much for date night as we do for family dinners. Whether dining at a tatami table, overlooking the busy sushi chefs at the sushi bar, or on the patio that features a Japanese garden and fountain - you really can't... More

The food was fairly good, but service was terrible. The waitress had a terrible attitude. We were sitting inside, the restaurant closes at 9:30 which is fine, but nobody should clean the sushi bar/kitchen in front of customers. We were still eating and they were washing the sushi bar in front of us. I think that is disrespectful and is... More

outdoor patio seating buy a water fountain with a distant ocean view makes for an exceptional setting for exceptional sushi. We enjoyed the brunch on Sunday, three rolls for $10. my wife enjoyed in iced jasmine tea while I went for the more traditional hot sake. We selected the bagel and cream cheese, which had salmon and cream cheese, the... More

We decided to try Yosaku since it was just a block from our hotel (Courtyard by Marriott Downtown/Waterfront), they have outdoor seating, and it was very busy. We ordered several maki rolls which was just the right amount of food for four adults who were not very hungry. The rolls are mostly between $5 and $8, with the specialty rolls... More

Great patio seating with it perfect for summer. They do warn you about Mosquitos so I'm surprised they don't have candles or other repellant out. The Mosquitos aren't the restaurants fault but it does affect the dining experience. Service was great, food was good and the prices were reasonable. The fried tempura green tea ice cream is a must try!... More
