Better than average coffee and breakfast

Next to the Regency Hotel. Good coffee, breakfast sandwiches, service, and prices. There is a separate space where you can sit with tables not shown in the photo

The Crooked Mile Cafe on Milk Street in Old Port is a little gem of a place. Friendly staff, nice selection of breakfast, lunch and snack fare (soups, salads, sandwiches), great coffees, teas, etc. Closed weekends. Great spot to take a load off your feet and re-charge.

Found it by accident and blown away by everything. The salads were the freshest. Coffees were great. The staff were among the friendliest people encountered by wait staff. They answered all questions. Very reasonable and they make a special effort to accommodate patrons. They said that they were closed on the weekends (why??) so I could not make a return... More

We were in a hurry and stopped in for breakfast - ordered 2 breakfast sandwiches with egg, cheese, and meat on a croissant. Simple, but so tasty and delicious! Cute corner restaurant with comfortable wood furnishings, and reasonably priced as well. Would definitely stop back!

What a disappointment. Mistakenly thought I was going to get some sort of specialty sandwich when I ordered the turkey, cheddar, pesto for $8.10. For that kind of money, anywhere else in the City for a decent sandwich is probably an option - though I highly recommend The Works Bakery. Must be that scantily spread pesto that warrants the price... More

I stopped in for an americano and breakfast sandwich. I got a microwaved egg on my breakfast sandwich and am pretty sure my americano was not made with espresso. Cool atmosphere but not impressed with the food/drink.

Great local coffee shop where you get served in mugs and not paper cups! Great for a salad or sandwich. Also great breakfast sandwiches .

Friendly staff, good sandwiches. Unfortunately, this location is closed on weekends. Would've loved to have had one of their sandwiches for the road today!

Have been a faithful customer of The Crooked Mile in the Old Port for many years. The menu has shrunk, the prices have gone up and the quality of the food has gone down - unfortunately. For example: I had a garden salad with grilled chicken. There were probably about 3 small slices of chicken, and a whole lot of... More

We stayed at the Regency, and needed a place for a quick breakfast - we were directed to the Crooked Mile. It is such a diamond in the rough - great spot for a quick bite, or a coffee and a long chat! The food was very good, and the staff were attentive. If I lived in Portland - this... More
