The raw oysters and steamed mussels were excellent. The service lacked somewhat with our waitress. But overall we had a great experience.

Charming restaurant , could only get reservation at bar , usually when we go here we make reservations weeks in advance , we came at about 8:45 so we only had A small amount of time to get seated at the bar. My husband ordered the halibut , it was a very large piece and cooked to perfection! I ordered... More

First time here and loved it. Menu is printed daily featuring the freshest seafood selections. It's warm and charming with brick walls and an open kitchen. We sampled some tastes -- beets with crispy kale and blue cheese with apricot jam & raisin bread. Delish! The roasted tomato bisque was very tasty, but the crab & leek bread pudding was... More

My daughter's in-laws live in the area and invited us to dinner. We entered from a cobblestone alley in the historic port area to a cozy brick basement with several narrow hallways to different dining areas. I ordered a whole Mediterranean fish surrounded by whole clams and a wonderful sauce that married with the mild fish as well as not... More

the restaurant is very charming and we expected something great only to be very disappointed. we ordered the salad specials which had lettuce and not much else. the white anchovy appetizer had maybe two anchovies and tasted like pickled herring that you buy in a jar at the supermarket. the grilled octopus was smothered in a tomato sauce that took... Wow. My wife and I went here for our 1 year anniversary. So glad we chose this place. We had the lobster diavolo. They claim it serves 2. It's really more like 3 or 4. That says a lot because we can definitely put down some food. Nice wine list. We actually had a malbec with the diavolo. The malbec... More

Two friends and I dined at Street & Co recently and had an expensive meal for only average food and poor service. I ordered the pan fried sole and others ordered the pan fried special of the evening. All of the meals were served in the extremely hot pan in which they were cooked, making the meal less than easy... More

Returned here after many years...cocktails in bar...no napkins and asked to pay before going into dining room for dinner. Very loud room. Server pleasant but staff seemed rushed. Almost ALL courses were auctioned off at the table. We had mussels to share, oysters, scallops w/pernod, bluefish special, grilled lobster...all tasty. Also had a "taste" of beets....literally... for $4. The Maine... More

While traveling in Portland, Maine we ate at Street and Company, a restaurant recommended by a local resident. A fun atmosphere and fabulous food. My husband and I shared the crab and corn salad and then the blackened swordfish which was outstanding. A bit pricey but you get what you pay for here. Very popular place so do make reservations....
