My wife and I were staying overnight in Portland for only one night, so we had to make sure our choice of restaurant for dinner would be spot on. Boy, did we succeed!! Based on rave reviews in various sites, we chose to eat at Street & Co. My wife went along with my selection for a shared appetizer of... More

After such terrific reviews, I booked 3 months in advance to get the only reservation available for 5:30. We were a party of four. It took close to 15 minutes and a reminding of the waiter to get two glasses of wine. We ordered the calamari puttanesca, the grilled octopus and a seasonal salad featuring melon and spiced, pickled onions.... More

This was our second visit to Street and Co., which is one of the premier restaurants in Portland, Maine. This cool, chic, and rustic restaurant features a hectic waiting/bar area, which was run so professionally and like clockwork by Chrissy, and then several rooms in which dining may be somewhat quiet, or if you are seated in the open kitchen... Tucked back in an alley this restaurant has a very European ambiance to it. Low ceilings, little nooks and cranny's, warm and friendly and casual. Lots of things to choose from on the menu and close quarters at the tables. We sat in view of the kitchen so it was a little on the warm side (coupled with July temperatures).... More

Amazing service, especially at the bar which we found a little quieter than the main dining room. Nice cocktails. Amazing sole--we had the francaise and the broiled sole between us and loved them both. The taste are definitely worth it too!

You will never be disappointed or hungry when you leave this restaurant. If you manage to get a reservation (you need one), you will be delighted by superior service, a nice selection of wines and cocktails, followed by an absolutely amazing meal! The chef's staff here are all professionals and pay attention to every detail in preparing and plating your... More

Place blew me away. Excellent food all around (there were 6 of us) - shell and scale fish. No complaints. Enjoyed their diverse wine list too!

Love this precious little place. Great for a special date night. Love sitting outside on the busy cobblestone street -- it makes you really feel like you're in the heart of a cute little city.
