Love this place!!!!

Totally old school and it's awesome! Their oysters are, of course, delicious, as is everything else! They serve their crab roll with almost 1/2 pound of crab, you put in as much mayo as you like, so very excellent! They make a mean Bloody Mary. One truly excellent spot, also, their bar is... read more

I have been going to this place for years my favorite!!... This is were all the locals hang...Great food... Oyster's on the half shell always busy so you need to put your name in at the register for seating... also outside dining..Wait staff is great water and boats right there..in the heart of the Old Port...a must see and experience..

Service sucks but can't go wrong with steamed seafood and butter! You just need to be aggressive with flagging down a bartender in this understaffed establishment. They have 4 local beers that I found to be tasty. Deliciously clam packed chowder Lobster roll Lobster and steamers 3 beers $81 with tip. Not bad! Probably would've been more if someone came... visited here on a Saturday night. place was packed by 5pm. appears to be popular with the local crowd, bar was full. not a lot of table seating, maybe 10-14 tables. we both ordered seafood cassarole dishes that were described as various seafoods in a sauce and baked or broiled. both were good size portions and loaded with very fresh... The oysters, steamers and sandwiches are great, seats at the bar, maybe a dozen tables inside and outside tables under a canopy overlooking the harbor, plus free parking if you are lucky. Friendly, efficient services. Best to come before or after rush hours. In the summer, the wait time can get pretty long.

Small, quaint bar with water views. Employees are all very friendly, food is very good if you're not expecting a Top Chef restaurant.

Friendly patrons, locals and tourists. Great steamers, oysters fresh and tasty. Crowded but not jammed packed. Seats at the bar. Wait staff pleasant and courteous, knowledgeable of the area, full of "To Do" recommendations.

In Maine, it us a great place to taste oysters. I tell you that it is not cheap there, but good taste. I recommend it.

We were told to go here by a friend who is a local. The food was okay at best. I wouldn't say it was typical bar food but we wished we had gone go a restaurant instead. Prices were way out of the league compared to the dish composition.

An OK option for oysters if you have some out-of-town guests are on a budget. Nothing jumps out at you in terms of quality of ingredients or preparation, but is what you come to know of seaside restaurants. They've got a homey feeling inside, and the wait staff are very friendly. Clams and mussels are fresh, and most of the... More
