Loved the food!

Went to Boda for my birthday with family. None of us had been there before, but I wanted Thai so we found this restaurant and tried it. We all loved the food, but I fell in love with there Apple Salad. OMG! I think I could eat it non-stop. I only wish I had the recipe to make it myself.... read more

Went on a date night with the wife. Staff was friendly enough, cozy atmosphere. Someone had suggested Boda when I asked for a good Thai place. It is good, but it's not traditional Thai. As with many places in Portland, this is an American hipster interpretation of its subject. I had the beef panang and it was good. I would... More

We got a recommendation from a server at another place. Asked her where would she eat if going out for a nice dinner. Hands down, Boda she said. It's American Thai.....and the most delicious food in the area. Seriously, best meal in Portland. Small place, went on a Sat night about 8 pm. Told a 25 minute wait, and that... More

Not sure what this cuisine is - it certainly isn't Thai. After great reviews I was expecting better. I had the crispy squid, but that was just awful. While the squid itself was nicely cooked it was smothered in an very, very, very overly sweet orange sauce. What's that? The Pad Thai was served up inside an omelet - never... More

This is the best food in Portland, I think. And what is most amazing is the EFFICIENCY with which the place is run. I have never been able to get a table--always seated at one of the bars. But the menu is the same and the service is amazing--fast, friendly. Everyone working there looks like they're in a rock band... More

Boda was fantastic - offering a range of great gluten-free options. We started with delicious lobster chips and tofu skewers with sweet cucumber sauce, had a terrific Papaya Salad with rice noodles, and enjoyed a great Pad Thai. Service was excellent as well.

The owner of our B&B recommend this place and it was great. We sat at the bar and had some great hand made cocktails with the small plates apps (crispy quail and hanger steak) both were really good. Both our mains again were great (pad Thai and shrimp, crap and curry rice). Go early like 6-6:15 otherwise they are busy... More

Everything at Boda just tastes so good! Simple as that. Presentation is lovely, tastes are divine. The kind of place where every bite makes you swoon. Gotta get the quail eggs! They don't take reservations- and yes, we have always had to wait- but they are so accommodating. We have given them our cell number and gone to another location... More

This is seriously great food and stellar service. Many selections are small plates or skewers. Grilled pork belly skewers (that I was reluctant to try) turned out to be just right, smokey, tender with a caramelized crispness, very nice with a sauce to dip. Crispy quail was delicious, with a spicy sauce, tasted sriracha based. If I had one recommendation... More

This was a first visit and totally loved it. The unique serving of Pad Thai was so creative and the flavors were off the wall.
