We looked forward to this, based on other reviews. The description of "rustic with a side of tacky" is right on... it's nothing fancy but was fine for a quick lunch. Everything is made by hand, fresh to order. Sadly, the fish was incredibly bland.... it would have REALLY benefitted from some salt and pepper in the cornmeal. The onion... More

Came here based on a PG story. The food is quite good and exceptionally fresh. They make your food as you order it--nothing is frozen. Service is fast. Staff, friendly. Can't wait to come back.

Saw other people on trip advisor highly recommend so I thought I would give it a shot. Ordered clam chowder. .. ok taste wise but lacking in clams (add some black pepper would help)... ordered lobster roll dinner... a lot of lobster , a lot of French fries for the money. Little butter or mayo seasoning would have helped a... More

My guess is that this place is supposed to sport the ambience of an old-style diner with the affect of the local seafood industry. But it just feels old and run down. The food was ok (nothing special), and the portions were neither abundant nor small. So, honestly, there is nothing about this place to make me want to go... More

If your looking for a fancy place with high prices then Susan's will not be for you but if you are cheep like me and do not care that the place is not fancy but has just about the best seafood in town at the best price in town then this place is just right

I guess my husband and I must be in the minority in terms of how good the food was at Susan's Fish-n-Chips. We ordered fish sandwiches with fries. On the plus side, the portions were quite generous. On the minus side, my husband couldn't even finish his sandwich claiming the batter had an almost bleach taste to it. While I... More

We have gone to this seafood restaurant quite a few times. It might look like a little "hole in the wall" but the seafood there is the best next to homemade. My father has ordered it and brought it home to us, but the best way to have it is to order it and eat it there. When we have... More

I saw the reviews of this place and stopped by to see how it was. We ordered chowder, fish and chips, and a lobster roll. The fish and chips were excellent, the chowder was pretty good, but I didn't like the lobster roll. I had a couple of lobster rolls on my trip this year, and found a bunch of... More

We stopped by one day and had the fish sandwich special. Then we came back a second day for the lobster roll and chowder. Everything was great. Susan's is not a fancy place, it just has great food.

Local dive that offers exactly what the sign says: Fish-n-Chips. Have to hand it to them, though, the fish is fresh and very, very good. It is freshly breaded (as you order it), and flash fried to perfection. Portions are HUGE, so order with caution. It's definitely a good dinner place. Although, I wish I'd gone a bit earlier to...
