I have to say that my wife and I each had the same meal, the lobster rolls. We have had lobster rolls from Bar Harbor to Cape Cod and this one was loaded with lobster meat and a little lettuce beneath it on a toasted frankfurter roll. The only issue we had was the meat was dry. Normally there is... More

I have been going to Susan's for years. It would be easy to drive right by and never notice it on Forest Ave. That would be a huge mistake. It is located in an old service station, but the fried seafood and sides are excellent. Other seafood like the fried haddock, clams, lobster roll and fried...very good and prices are... More

Perfect breading. Fresh seafood. Quick service. Unpretentious. Can't wait to come back! The best place in Portland for fried seafood.... And I should know

It's a dirty little hole in the wall that used to be a service station but their fried clams are pretty darn good. If you don't mind the dirt enjoy yourself, my wife won't even go here because of the sticky tables and dirty atmosphere but I just order the clams to go and enjoy.

This was our second visit, last one was last time in Portland. If they have it, get the fried lobster tail on a stick. It is the whole tail from a small lobster (I would guess from a one-pound lobster) Price was $4.95 (I would guess that it has as much meat as a $10-15 lobster roll) My wife had... More

We went on a warmer than normal day and this place had no AC. I was about to just have lunch inside until I noticed a side door that has an outdoor eating area. It was much cooler under the umbrellas. The super sized fried seafood platter for 2 was very good and all we could eat. Don't go here... More

Well, I had seen Susan's Fish & Chips featured on Food Network and expected an informal restaurant with exceptional food. I got the informal restaurant, but unfortunately the food I ordered with my family was below par. My husband ordered the shrimp platter, and he described it as "up eventful." I ordered the lobster roll. Although I was told the... More

The food was really good, and the prices are reasonable. The only thing I will add to this place is air condition. It is soooooo hot inside.

My husband wanted to try it. I don't eat seafood, so not many choices. It was a unique experience. Service was very friendly. Parking lot small. The toilet up high, almost hit my head lol. It's good for a "had to see what the fuss is about."

My son and I had the fried shrimp dinner which was plenty for the both of us. We also had the clam chowder. The shrimp dinner was popcorn shrimp that came with fries and coleslaw. The shrimp and fries were great. I'm not a fan of coleslaw, but even that was good. The clam chowder was very good. Nice and... More
