Wonderful Ambiance, excellent food, great service

Only great things to say. Made a reservation, well in advance, was seated promptly. All tables looked very nice. Salads were big enough to share, and excellent. My halibut and my husbands scallops were perfect. Great sourdough bread. And the dessert, it was amazing. Share one, well worth it!

There were 6 of us arriving at 5:45 in mid March. The wait was one hour, the food tasty (we shared 1 small and 2 large pizzas, 4 salads , 2 glasses of wine and 1 beer for $140)

Delicious food. Each with its own unique combination and presentation. A bit pricey, but overall experience makes it worth the price.

What an experience! We scored an 8:00 reservation the day of (which I wouldn't count on...we were there during a snowstorm...reserve ahead of time) and were thrilled! I've been wanting to eat here for some time and finally made it. Now I can't wait to go back! The atmosphere of the open kitchen is very welcoming and warm, the food... More

It's not much to look at feom outside, but that changes when you step in. Meats are cooker in a wood fired oven and local produce is used. There's a healthy bustle and your meal will be a very tasty treat.

The friend I was travelling with had read excellent reviews of Fore restaurant, so we were fortunate to get a reservation while visiting Portland last week. Everything was wonderful: food, atmosphere and the service. We would like to visit again when visiting Portland.

Went on a whim. Pork belly app was amazing. Lots of different flavors and textures. Had the slow roasted local lamb over incredibly fresh pappardelle with marscapone cheese and wilted kale. What a meal. Not cheap but not overpriced. If you're looking for average everyday food, go somewhere else. If you're looking for a great exerience this is the place

Fore Street is a real destination restaurant at this point and has been for several years, as Chef Sam Hayward has put them on the map by being nominated for the prestigious James Beard award numerous times. The food is creative and locally sourced for the most part. The only thing reason I haven't given this restaurant an excellent rating... More

Went at Christmas with friends from London and hadn't been in quite awhile. It was frantic and jolly from a very large crowd of enthusiastic fans. We ate extremely well from a large offering of local foodstuffs some unknown to my friends. Menu was full of good choices and the wine list is excellent and fun. We wandered quickly to... More

I had dinner here last night with 5 other family members. We all loved our meals. The decor is cool with the large windows and exposed brick. Has a bit of an industrial feel on the inside. The kitchen is set in the middle of the restaurant so you can see them cooking. We dined on a Monday night and... More
