Description: Our restaurant actually floats, and because it is surrounded by water, every table offers spectacular views of Portland Harbor. Our outside decks are great spots to see the sights while enjoying a meal or cocktail. Maine lobster is what we do here and we do it better than anyone.

The restaurant had a nice atmosphere but the food was average and overpriced. Usually sides come with the meal but here you pay for every little thing. If you expect to pay for a seafood meal these should be included in the price. Waitress was a little snotty after we ordered because we only ordered one appetizer and salads. Very... More

Six of use walked in during their busiest time without a reservation. We were very fortunate to get seated immediately. The waitress was very helpful and friendly. Three had the lobster, one had a salmon salad, and myself and another had the pecan crusted haddock stuffed with sweet potato. All the food was good, but I have to say that... More

Our meals were fair to good, the service much the same, but oh, that parking. Valet service is required, but they have no system to keep order. When we finished our meals the valets were slammed, leaving us to wait for a very long time to get the car and then twice as long just to get out of the... More

I haven't been here since 2001 - and I was wondering how it had fared. I had eaten there frequently in the 80s. We called for reservations two nights before and were told none available (for Wed night at 5). We were told 20 minute wait when we arrived but were seated quickly in the bar. I had a shrimp... More

This is a unique restaurant in that it is an actual boat. Food was tasty, drinks were of decent quality. Hostess said it would be an hour wait, but actual time was much less. I highly recommend the fried clams or mixed seafood broil.

Had a great meal at DiMillo's on the Waterfront in Portland, Maine. The shrimp cocktail was fabulous. The Lazy Lobster was great.

Was in town for work and hubs came along. Our first time In Portland so friends recommended DiMillo's for lobster. Glad we followed their recommendation!! It's touristy, but the staff was fabulous!! Our waitress, Frankie was a doll! She showed me how to eat the Maine clams, "steamers". They were a bit different than the ones we have on the... More

I have been to DiMillo's three or four times on visits to Maine and always come back...but I always leave interested as to why when there are better spots for lobster. This time, I went with the stuffed and paid extra for crabmeat stuffing but was disappointed. It was dry, dry, dry and all the small pieces of the lobster... More

Friends told us to eat here while in Portland. Definitely touristy. It was good but not fabulous. We did sit outside to enjoy the atmosphere of the marina, which made the experience even better. Food was good. Service was okay. But having to do it over again, we'd probably choose to eat here again. It was convenient to everything &... More

My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary and we asked the hotel clerk where we were staying if he could recommend a nice restaurant for dinner. He recommended DiMillo's and we were so happy he did. The restaurant is actually a ship and it was an amazing experience from when we first walked into the entrance until we walked... More
