Our restaurant actually floats, and because it is surrounded by water, every table offers spectacular views of Portland Harbor. Our outside decks are great spots to see the sights while enjoying a meal or cocktail. Maine lobster is what we do here and we do it better than anyone.

Tourists and Locals Both Love DiMillo's

Always good or better. Great summer lunch or early dinner overlooking their marina and harbor. Indoor or outdoor seating. Seafood is always tops. Great place to do business too.

In had last visited DiMillo's more than 15 years ago and had fond memories of a delicious family seafood dinner. So, when I had a chance to go there for a business dinner I readily accepted the suggestion. I recognized the old floating ferry converted to an attractive restaurant immediately as we approached it. Upon arrival, about 7:30PM on a... More

Went to DiMillo's on 7/1 for lunch. Although it was busy, there were many empty tables and people were mostly finishing their meals. It took us 50 (!!!) minutes to get our food. After we ordered, it took about 30 minutes for the surly waitress to tell me they didn't have feta cheese for my salad. Problem is, I had... More

My wife and I were visiting a friend in Portland, our first visit to Portland. My friend must like us as she took us to DiMillo's. Being on a wharf you have a good walk from the street but they have valet parking in front of the wharf which helps. Offering great seafood we had lobster and crab dishes, All choices... More

Dropped in, without reservations, for lunch. After a short wait we were able to sit "topside", which is the best choice by far. Open air dining with a spectacular view of the harbor. It was a clear, warm day and could not have been more ideal. I had their grilled salmon special with Thai peanut sauce and fresh cole slaw.... More

We were street hiking for hours and were in need of something to drink so we popped into this unique restaurant setting in an old ship now permanently fixed to the dock. We had a pear salad with gorgonzola cheese, candy glazed walnuts atop a bed of lettuce. It hit the spot with a cold beer.

I have eaten here numerous times and the service and food is consistently above average. Off season it's a great place to hangout at the bar. When I have a craving for prime rib it's the only place to go.

I was a little hesitant based on some of the feedback but found it to be very good and reasonably priced. You don't really feel like you are on a boat except for all of the decorations (it so big it doesn't seems to move)
