Do not go to Portland, Maine without having a meal at Eventide Oyster Company. We've been there three times in the last year and we were never disappointed. Service is excellent. Servers are cool. Food is excellent and the chef is very imaginative. Try the lobster rolls! A very nice experience!

As expected, the oysters here are unbelievably good! The specials are great, we tried many! And the drinks are great. You must go early or you will wait. Nice and quiet if you sit outside. Highly, highly, highly recommend this place to ALL.

this is a tiny little restaurant with the best lobster rolls ever, they are very different, made with butter (not mayo) on little steamed buns. they are so good we actually ordered seconds for everyone. the oysters were very fresh and they had many varieties. the fried oysters were also delicious. you absolutely must go and eat at least one... What's all the hype about? Oysters looked great, but the lobster roll was very small and the roll was touted as something special, but was really just underbaked dough. The seating is on stools, none of which have backs, so no real comfort. Also had a tomato salad that was one slice of tomato. Value was lacking.

The lobster roll was average and very very small. The " famous steamed roll" tasted like they needed to cook it longer. The local tomato salad consisted of one slice and a few bits of tomato. It was good but way to costly. The oysters and beer looked better but I won't go back.

The service was excellent. The food was tasty, but the lobster rolls were very small (more like a tapa) and overpriced. The price listed on their website was three dollars less than the actual price.

A fun hip place to eat. We ate 4 different types of local oysters and they were divine. Also make sure you try the lobster tale and the stuffed little neck clams.

The lobster rolls are not cheap. At $13/roll, you'd expect a hefty portion, but the rolls are tiny. Despite the small size, however, they are DELICIOUS. You can get one with brown butter or mayonnaise, so I opted for one of each. I'm not a huge mayo person, but man I must admit, the mayo one is mighty tasty. They... More

We go to Eventide for oysters on the half shell and finally got on without a long wait right after Labor Day. We had 18 assorted Maine oysters which don't need a description:) As an accompiament we had a delicious Nori vinaigrette salad with pickled veggies. I usually get a martini or glass of white wine but decided to go... More
