Great location and excellent oysters. Fine wine selection and friendly (albeit loud but that seems the trend nowadays) atmosphere. Highly recommended.

I am a lobster connoisseur. I love lobster. All lobster is good. Some lobster is great. This lobster is heavenly. Perfectly, succulently sweet lobster chunks in exactly the right amount of butter on a bun - bun is not even the right word to describe the delectable doughy wrap that swaddles the lobster meat. They are petite. My friend and... More

If you like oysters this is a very neat place with a very hip crowd. I think it is a bit pricey but the food is very interesting...of course it is all oyster based. Too crowded for me now but if I go a odd hours I can get in. I supposed if you are visiting you may as well... More

Best lobster roll in Portland. Go with the Oysters recommend by the server. Bunker Hill Czech style beer is local and a perfect compliment to the menu. Fried Oysters are OK but prefer fresh raw oysters. This place is for people with discriminating palates. This is not a tourist trap.

We arrived at 1:30pm and there was still a waiting line to get in. We were told 30 minutes but it was only 8 minutes. We waited in an air-conditioned room and ordered wine with fast, friendly service. Our waitress provided great suggestions of which oysters to try to match our personal tastes. She was personable and provided top customer... More

Really disappointing given what we had read and the lines; think it's a case of the Emperor'rs New clothing and everyone afraid to speak up. Trendy for sure but the lobster and crab rolls were very disappointing and so was the haddock fish sandwich...wait and go to a really good lobster pound

Stopped here on our quest to find the best lobster roll, this was it, the delicious Manapua type roll was so soft and warm and pillowy dressed with the browned butter lobster was amazing, it was so good we immediately ordered another. We also tried the lobster stew which was really more of a curry, and while I don't think... More

Fantastic experience at Eventide! It was long wait but that was expected. We got ourselves a drink while waiting to be seated. I always say that my own martinis are the best martinis but not anymore! The Eventide Dirty Dirty Martini is the best martini I have ever had. Vodka - Olive Brine - Oyster Brine - Hot Sauce. Lucky... More

Went for a late lunch. Noise level inside approached the intolerable...( When you cannot hear table mates and waitress I suggest it's too loud... No?) Very small portion clam roll ---since I was ''lobstered out'. One of us finally got her order after everyone else had finished and their attitude was one of indifference. The seafood was fresh which kept... More
