Went here the first night and we were not at all impressed. Having been in Italy during one of the hottest summers ever we ate a lot of gelato. This is more like the consistency of ice cream it doesn't have the smoothness or light flavour of true gelato. Make the trip across the street to Gorgeous Gelato if you... More

So... I went back & forth across the street to Gorgeous Gelato to see where I would enjoy my one indulgence... Fiasco won out due to it's much broader selection of gelato (and sorbets) and an incredibly friendly staff that truly wants you to TRY/TASTE EVERYTHING... they just seemed psyched to be there... while at the counter, an employee popped... We mistakenly thought this was the other gelato store someone told us about. Lucky for us. The gelato was great. We especially loved the chocolate salty pretzel. They had the more bold flavors and we really enjoyed it.

We were on a mission to try out as many gelato spots as we could find and even though this one had many more flavors than Gorgeous Gelato, across the street, I did like the variety better. We tried the Mango and it was delicious, although members of our group thought the texture was more "icey" than the creamier Gorgeous... More

With over 25 flavors to choose from, it's great they let you pick AS MANY AS YOU WANT to put into your dish. The lady said she's had as many as 14 put into one person's dish. That's amazing. I just ordered two. Mint cookie which tasted like a perfectly smooth version of a mint girlscout cookie, and a rich... More

So many delicious flavors! The last time I was there I tried half dulce de leche and half fresh cream.... it was to die for! Recommended again and again.

We visited Portland for 6 days and literally ate gelato fiasco ev-ery night. We didn't bother with dessert at the restaurants we ate, and saved dessert for this place. I'll go as far to say that it's as good as the gelato in Tuscany, but more inventive. Flavors like blueberry crisp (with pieces of crunchy pie crisp topping and real... More

Some of the best Gelato I have ever eaten. Worth the trip! Convenient right next to the hotel we were staying in. Tastes great after a trip to Five Guys!

Here and in Brunswick the gelato matches Italy's best. The staff is cheerful and quick. Coffees and teas are also good.
