So much great food!

This is the kind of restaurant I love. It's a very local, hole-in-the-wall with amazing food! But let's talk about said amazing food. First up, the lobster roll. My friends, this lobster roll is 80% delicious meat and 20% everything else. I kid you not. So generous, so bountiful. Next, the... read more

I had the mini lobster roll and my husband had the classic roll and a "chowdah". We also got two bottles of water and our total was $45. Buns were lightly toasted to perfection and portions were generous. The rolls had a mix of claw and tail meat tossed in the perfect amount mayo. We arrived at exactly noon (opening... More

A nice little seafood restaurant with limited seating. We had the best fried clams and scallops that I ever had. The batter was light and very tasteful. The owner is from Portland and quite knowledgeable. If, you love New England style seafood as much as I do, you should plan to take in the Fishermen's Grill.

This little place, correction, very little place....looks to be the real deal hole in the wall place that you will probably pass and have to turn around, but DO TURN AROUND! The most Lobster meat Ever! I had to use a fork to eat half the lobster just so I could pick it up! And it was truly amazing. Great... More

This place is kind of a hidden gem. I ordered a traditional lobster roll, and was simply blown away. This was probably some of the best lobster I have ever had. Hard to believe this is such a tiny location. If we had been staying closer to Portland I would have definitely come back for another. The cook was very... More

My husband and I just had the clam chowder here. It was incredible, no fillers. The place is very small and CASH ONLY. There is minimal seating inside, but on a nice day, there are several picnic tables outside. Their hours are unique, so check before you go. It is closed a few days a week, and one day is... More

Visited this restaurant based on other reviews. Was looking for the fisherman's Grill sign and only saw the fisherman's net sign. This was kind of confusing but it ended up being right next to each other. Food was excellent but they only accept cash and there were only four tables available for seating.

After reading the reviews, we decided we had to eat lunch here when we arrived in Portland. But we almost didn't because the Fishermen's Grill is such a small, unappealing place from the outside. We were so glad that we went inside because the classic lobster rolls were almost certainly the best lobster rolls either of us has ever eaten.... More

Hands down, Fisherman's Grill gave me my best meal of the trip. I only wish I'd discovered before my last day in town. I would have gone back every day. Yes, it was that good. I ordered the clam chowder, classic size lobster roll, and coleslaw. The clam chowder was peppery and flavorful. It wasn't the thick, heavy, rich clam... More
